Charge light won't come on when Handset is placed in the Base Unit?

open line if have more than one phone plugged into a jack unplug one at a time and check dial tone if no change have phone company check incoming line

Try re-registering the handset as described on page 10 of this manual.

you should Verify that you are using the correct line cord and that it is plugged in correctly.

increase the volumes of ring tones ,unscrew the phone to check if the ringer is not faulty or damaged,repair or replace it ok

try to unplug it first to reset configuration.then check the connections

Plug a phone in to fax port, Is there a dial tone there also? can you dial a number and make a call from the fax port? You should be able to with a regular phone. If you can't, try plugging in the fax machine to the other port where your phone is plugged in. try sending a fax.If it works there, then the Vonage device or your service itself is the problem.

The problem was the main phone line not the phone itself

no dial tone. the handset shows "searching".
