I have a k7mnf-64 socket 462 when I turn on the computer I get an alarm and a red light on the motherboard I have checked ram and every thing else and the only way to stop the alarm is to pull main power,...

"I have checked ram and every thing else" (sic) When you say everything else, I presume you mean with No HD, No DVD, NO "Other" cards in slots, No USB, & just a monitor connected? If yes to all those, then yes I would think that the MB has developed a Fault. The "Red Light" this LED usually signals that the MB is receiving good power, it is NOT a "Fault Light". have you REPLACED the RAM with new ones? You say "Alarm" what exactly is this alarm sound?

Fic k7mnf-64 motherboard socket 462 amd 3000+ When I plug the computer in all that happens is a red light on the board comes on and a buzzer goes off.

Power is not going to the board. Check the power supply cables going to the board; most use a big 20 pin connector & a 2nd 4 pin connector. Make sure both are plugged into the proper spots then retry boot. Should see a green light on motherboard if power is properly set up. Hope this helps.

EMachine W3052 with FIC K7MNF-64 Mobo

I did just solve all my problems with my own FIC K7MNF-64

Stop error: 0x0000007b / may be caused by attempting to load XP HOME

I've not determined exactly why attempting to load XP Home will cause
error 0x0000007b on the FIC K7MNF-64 , but it does , and it's a situaion not covered in the microsoft artical on it.

From what I can gather XP pro was the offical operating sytem for the board which I've now loaded to mine , windows 98/ME can load to it without problem so that rules out a hardware issue on my end.

eMachine T3395 or W3050 shipped with the FIC K7MNF-64 in them.

Drivers can still be obtained from eMachine for the board as of 8-26-2008
but for XP pro only from what I can see. you may need to hunt around for
98/ME drivers , even if you manage to get 98/ME drivers you will most likely still have a PCI Universal Serial Bus issue so best to load XP pro if possible. biggrin.gif

I hope this information saves some people alot of time.

May the nForce2 be with you , always.
