I have a safe with combination lock. I know the combination. however, I don't recall the simply rotations. like our old combination lock on a locker at school was: spin to the right or clockwise to clear the stop on the 1st number, back to the left or counter clockwise to the 2nd number and then again to the left to the 2nd number again, then simply back to the right for the thrid number and open. well it seems to me this combination was not r LL r. it seems it had 4 rotations rather than 3. any recommendations?

There should be a serial number on the safe. You can google the manufacturer and get a contact number, call them and they will be able to walk you through resetting the combination. But it sounds like you will need to replace the battery in it first

It is usually CCW, CW, CCW sometimes 4 rotations to clear
go to first number, then 3 rotations CW to the next number, then 2 rotations CCW to the last number, rotate CW till the tumbler stops,
Then pull the handle to open, if in doubt,

I would recommend calling a locksmith as it may be a cheaper solution than what the manufacturer has to offer.

had your looking for a combo, throw it out. no way to find the combo for it. serial only refers to the model of the lock. its like asking for a part for " my ford truck " not enough info.
