I plan to mount this TV on the wall, but can't figure out how to remove the stand at the bottom of the set. Olevia says there are 6 screws to be removed, but that doesn't make sense. Please help! Thanks
I am having hard time removing the stand of LT27HVX. I removed the two long screws that appeared to hold the stand but it wouldn't come off. There appears to be two more screws right above the previous two but it still wouldn't come off after I took them out.

On ours, we tried and tried and found there were 6 screws on the lower back flat area. Those screw screw into the metal frame that is attached to the stand. Then it just slide right out the bottom.
If you have a 42 inches Olevia lcd tv series 2 ,try removing the 7 screws that attached the base to the tv. You won't missed it, the 7 holes at the back of the base. Specially the 2 bottom screws, use a longer shaft screw driver with that. It works with me and definitely on your tv.
The screws are located above the base. there is a long metal sleeve that fits into the back of your tv. the screws go from the back of your tv (under your ports) through the sleeve. there are two rows of three. I hope this helps. They are in the tv itself not the base.
I would like to buy an Olevia tv base stand replacement since I accidentally threw away mine. Anyone willing to sell me one or trade me for a wall mount?
I just repaired a 26" in which the stand came off after I took the primary panel off in the middle of the back then the screws were visible that Olevia is talking about. You might have a different style but it does come off.

There should be a few philips type screws on the rear of the set at the bottom. There are either 2 or 4 large screws that hold it to the stand. Also, the instructions that come with this model describe how to convert it for wall mounting. Every one of these sets I work on has 4 screws that hold it to the stand and I have to use a long philips screwdriver to get them out before I can begin the repair. Better to have a magnetic tip on the screwdriver for easy removal. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Good Luck, Russmann.
I just wrestled with this problem. The screws were backed all the way out but I could not remove the stand. I had to remove the screws completely from the holes, then the stand can be pulled down then off.
This company called Amergence Technology a 3rd Party repair center is offering to sell stands for Olevia Brand Televisions.. it was stated they just started to sell them as the stands become available ...

to remove base from insignia tv
1)remove plastic cover from bottom rear of tv
2)remove 8 philips head screws on rear of tv above base
3)pick up tv and base will come off
All you need to do is remove the two long screws on the back of the tv panel just above the stand, then the two short back panel screws AND the three short screws just above the two panel screws and the stand will come right off. DO NOT remove any of the other screws in the perimeter of the back panel. There is no need.
After much trial and error this is the correct and EASY procedure for this apparently troublesome task. Good Luck !!
I have an Olevia 42" TV. I was able to remove the base by removing 16 screws on the back side. They were arranged vertically in 4 sets of 4. The screws go through the back panel, through the base and attach (without nuts) directly into the inside of the TV. After removing the 16 screws the stand simply slides out.
I tried removing two screws underneath the base area. They were small screws and were a pain to remove. I thought I would try that first instead of removing 16 screws but that did nothing.
Good luck!
