When installing a new computer, do you need to download any programs for it to connect to wireless belkin? It was used on a different computer. I forget how to install it on a new computer.

Yes, with help from a friend. This is what I did. On another computer with internet access working, go to

http://www.belkin.com/support/ab/c/

Find your exact product number and download the driver. Copy that download on to a USB memory stick. Take it out, plug that into your own computer and copy the driver program on to your computer. Then click on it and install it. It worked for me.

1.Download the driver and save in your computer
2.right click the driver and click on properties
3.you will have compactability,click on it
4.In the run this program,"select it as Windows Vista SP2" and then click on OK
5.Now you try to install the drivers it will install and then check for your wireless connectivity in your laptop

if you have not changed any settings from belkin router, access the wireless configuration on your windows machine and search for the belkin ssid then hit on connect

To setup the router you will need to log in to your router's control panel. This certainly won't be as simple as on the installer disc, yet it is still do-able. You might also want to contact Belkin's free technical support hot line. They can help you set it up with the method I described above.
