Check your Device Manager (Windows key + Pause/Break key). In the device manager it should be listed under USB section, and if it has a yellow exclamation mark then it is missing the driver. Double click on the Web Camera in Device Manager to view it's properties dialog box, and see if there is any error codes in the Driver tab. You need the driver in order for the web camera to work, use the disc to install the driver that came with the device, or download the driver from the web on the manufacturer's site.
