You have a lid switch problem.
check for junk plugging up the area of the lid switch.
It needs to move both to the contact position(when door is closed)and to the non contact position(when door is open).
Also, the switch may be bad, or the wires going to it may have been cut by the drum because sometimes these wires are not fastened good enough and are able to contact the drum.
Anyway, the switch is just like turning a wall light switch on and off.
There may be an actuator on the door that presses against the switch, that could be missing(fallen off/broken off).
What you are getting is actually a LS code...but it looks like L5.
LS Lid Switch Error The control will flash this error code if it
cannot detect the lid switch opening and closing properly. This error
code may also be used if there is a disagreement between the motor and
machine controllers on the status of the lid switch. The control should
not allow the unit to run in this condition.
This code will also appear if the user presses the START key while the lid is open.
Open the lid or press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
Usual first step with anything electronic is unplug, leave 30 minutes and plug back in - this will generally reset the "brain".
This will be a first step...hopefully it works...
