Sounds like a grounding problem. Make sure you are using quality video cables with adequate shielding; other than that, check all your grounds on your equipment.

Starting Beta SP UVW 1800 displays error 91-125. Apears like a feed back on audio channel 1. Nothinmg connected to it.???

Error 91-125 on a Beta SP UVW 1800 is a diagnostic code indicating a problem with the audio channel 1 input. The error message "appears like a feedback on audio channel 1" suggests that there is a signal present on audio channel 1 even though nothing is connected to it. This could be caused by a malfunctioning input or a problem with the internal signal routing.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Check all audio inputs and outputs to ensure that nothing is connected to audio channel 1.
  2. Disconnect all cables from the Beta SP UVW 1800 and power it off. Wait for a few minutes and then power it back on.
  3. Check the audio routing settings in the menu of the Beta SP UVW 1800 to ensure that audio channel 1 is not being routed to an unexpected location.
  4. Inspect the audio channel 1 input for any damage or corrosion.
  5. Try a different audio cable or input device to rule out any issues with the current cable or device.
  6. Check the manual of the Beta SP UVW 1800 for any specific troubleshooting steps.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware issue and you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. It could be a malfunction in the audio channel 1 input circuit or a problem with the internal signal routing. A qualified technician should be able to diagnose and repair the problem.

I need playback channel for tv to be ch.4 -

Solution 1

How to set the DVD Recorder+VCR’s RF output channel
Turn off the DVD Recorder+VCR, then press and hold
CH (v/V) on the front panel for about five
seconds to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or
CH 04). “RF 03” or “RF 04” appears on the front panel display.

Solution 2

Cable Service With Cable Box
If a cable box is required in your cable system, follow the
instructions shown below. This hookup permits both TV and
DVD Recorder+VCR operation.
To view or record a CATV channel:
1 Tune the TV to the correct video input channel.
2 Set the DVD Recorder+VCR to the output channel of the
cable box using the CH (v / V) or the 0-9 keys on your DVD
Recorder+VCR (e.g., CH3).
3 Select the channel you wish to view on the cable box.
