Logitech ClearChat Wirless Headset - Charger broken!

I bought the Logitech "ClearChat Wirless Headset", but have just discovered that the charger nib is broken. There is a chip on the charger, and I'm unable to re-charge my headset - thus rendering them useless.

I've looked online for a spare charger, but I cannot find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I can purchase a repacement charger on its own? It's upsetting that I paid so much money for a good quality headset, but can no longer use it for the mere charger.

Please reply ASAP. Thanks. :)

SOURCE: Not sure if Jabra bluetooth headset or charger that not working

I had the same problem, called support, they told me battery is defective or too old and doesn't accept the charge. Battery in a headset is hardwired and can't be replaced, so the whole thing is trash :(

SOURCE: ClearChat Pro USB headset asks for driver upon install

  1. (Vista) Confirm your system restore point first. It needs to be prior to what you're going to attempt here. If it has a recent restore point, great, but if not, make a system restore before you do this, in case it doesn't work.
  2. In the Control Panel, click System, Advanced System Settings, click System Protection, and click System Restore.
  3. (Optional) Try updating your usb drivers before trying the final step, reinstalling the Vista Service Pack 2.
  4. Here's how to verify if your USB (drivers) in the Device Manager are up to date.
  5. Open the Control Panel, System, Device Manager.
  6. Open the Universal Serial Bus controllers (usually at the bottom of the device list).
  7. Right-click, on your first USB, Updating Driver Software. It will look for the update or let you know (which may take a bit of time) that it is up to date already. Repeat this process on all the USB devices.
  8. If that doesn't work, try this: plug in your headset, and keep it plugged into the usb.
  9. In your Windows Updates, re-install the Service Pack 2. After Vista reboots your computer and finishes the install, unplug your headset from the USB and then replug it in. What you are likely to see is a Windows message indicating that it sees the software and is installing it (minus the windows pop-up message of "where's the driver disc for it?").
  10. Now the trick is to get the headset to play the microphone through the speakers appropriately!

I just bought a Logitech Clearchat Stereo Headset and am running Windows XP. The mic is not recognizing while plugged into the front or back plugs. Is there something wrong with my soundcard?

You should go to your Device Manager in the "System" category of the Control panel and see if indeed the driver for your mic is present. It will be listed under "Sound, Video and Gaming devices."
