If the brushes are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then they need replacing.
If still no spin , but washes o/k, then the high speed part of the motor windings could be faulty, which entails replacing the motor.

Hotpoint aquarious making loud gring noises and sometimes does't start

sounds like motor brushes. physically check your motor for black power, that's a sure sign of brush wear. could be seized bearings, try spin the barrel of the washer by hand, if it's stuck/very hard to turn, thats a sure sign of bearing seizure.

My washing machine won.t spin or turn so could it be the motor as i can,t hear it or would it be the brushes.i,ve got a hotpoint aquarious

I would try the brushes before replacing the motor, or you may have a broken wire. Before attempting any repair unplug the machine from the mains. The brushes on these motors are held in with 2 screws and although it may be a bit awkward they can be changed while the motor is still attached to the machine, but it will mean tilting the appliance so it is resting against something rather than just proping it up . Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WM63 Not Spinning Clicking Programmer

I would suggest you check the brushes in the motor, as it sounds like they are worn out.
Replace them if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long
This would give you the symptoms you are describing.
