Re: Channel keeps changing
It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?
Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions. Mac =)

not sure if i am right in saying this, but when in scan mode you wont hear anything until if finds a channel that there is something going on then it will stop on that channel.
please let me know if this is what you are asking.
most universal remotes let you search through the code base by simply following the steps to enter a code then just keep pressing the channel up button instead of entering the code, just keep hitting the channel up button until it changes the channel on the tv. 9 out of 10 times this will work! GOOD LUCK!!
pairing motorola h17 with Ps3. Go to settings then to manage bluetooth scan find bluetooth (enter passcode 0000) hit triangle connect.(only first part keep reading) Now go to audio devices section under settings and change imputs to the motorola h17. If you don't go to audio devices the bluetooth wont stay connected. It will connect for like a second and stop. This drove me crazy for a day until I discover the fix. now go back to manage bluetooth and connect bluetooth and it should stay connected > you will see blue circle.
just press your setup button untill the red light stays on then hit TV or what ever your trying to program then keep clicking channel up until the channel changes and once it changes hit enter or setup button
hold down code until it stays lit, then press tv then keep hitting channel up or channel down (either one can be used, keep pressing channel button til tv changes channels when it does press enter, or ok if enter is not there, it may take awhile maybe a few channel pushes up to 200 and up times, you use this method when you don't know the code for your tv. Hope this helps.
i had this problem today. power off your unit, power on your unit. either go into your settings for video in your menu, choose your setting, hit enter. or, after powering on your unit, hit the progressive button on your remote until desired resolution is displayed. do not hit enter after this, no need. hope it helped.
If you are using the remote to change channels it sounds like either the front of the remote and/or the receiving “eye” on the TV need to be cleaned, OR (more likely) the button on the remote is sticking. It is actually a button that pushes on a membrane under the entire remote panel. This is generally caused by some sticky liquid (like Coke) getting spilled on it. If you are brave enough, you can take the remote apart and clean it with denatured alcohol.Otherwise you need to replace your remote. If possible borrow a universal remote and see if it still happens. If that doesn’t fix it you have a bad IR receiver and/or a serious internal problem.
you need to program your remote control. take the battaries out. and maually turn the tv on. then hit the source you want to view. for example, I want to control the tv set. I push, code search and hold it then push the source button and then release the source button and then release the code search button. now, aim at the tv and then keep pressing power button till it goes off. when the tv is off, hit return or set or something like that.( every remote has different calling for it but still the same function) it should work. try it and let me know.
