Logitech Easycall Desktop Keyboard problem

The keyboard of the Logitech Easycall Desktop combo set is not working. Only the media button on the left and the sleep button on the right corner work. Other things like battery, connect button checking etc. are ok.

SOURCE: logitech easycall mouse works but the keyboard will not

I had the same problem. Some keys on the keyboard would work, others not. It seemed to happen after an update to the SetPoint software. I got it fixed! I tried everything and in the end this is what worked:

1. I started the computer and obviously could not log in.
2. My mouse worked, my standby key worked, but no other keys.
3. I used the mouse to activate the on-board keyboard in Vista (left bottom corner).
4. I put in my password and logged in.
5. I opened up an app (Excel in my case) to try to type something in.
6. As soon as I hit a key a Logitech wizard for encrypted communication came up!!! It asked me to press the connect button and then enter a code it displayed (keyboard worked at this point).

From this point on the keyboard worked!!

Note to Logitech.... great job on the extra security... bad job on the implementation... if your wizard runs after a PC is rebooted that has login passowrd protection.... how are the users supposed to log in??
Note: My logitech upgrade hung... with mouse and keyboard becoming unresponsive so I had to do the hard power off... maybe the wizard was meant to run after the upgrade before I had to force a restart, but this is something that should be taken into account as well.

SOURCE: My Logitech EX 100 keyboard and mouse combo doesn't work

Make sure the batteries work by testing them in another device(sometimes they lose their charge if they have been in the box too long). If they are charged, make sure you have the devices connected directly to the computers onboard USB port so that you can be sure it is getting enough power to the reciever.

If this does not work, it might be a hardware setting on windows. You will want to make sure all of your drivers are installed properly in device manager, this is unlikly the problem but it has been known to happen. Make sure the mouse and keyboard are aligned properly with the reciever.

If your computer is running slow, it may just take a long time for windows to recognize the new device. If you do not hear windows responding by making the 'new device found' sound then it probably is not detecting the new device in which case it is probably something wrong with windows or the drivers. If it does make the sound and it says it is loading and you see the ballons pop up on the bottom right then it has sucessfully connected.

If all of this does not work, then I would say that they are toast. Try them on a different computer if you can. This should give you a definate idea of if it is a problem with your computer or a problem with the device itself.

SOURCE: logitech easycall desktop keyboard mouse

Usually there will be a connect button, it sync them up together. First press the one and hold on the receiver then press the one on the keyboard. Sometimes they can be under/ on the bottom of the keyboard.

SOURCE: Logitech Wave Keyboard and XP Sleep problem

Go to Device Manager. Find Keyboard - Properties - Power Management - uncheck Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby. Repeat the same for a mouse. Should help.

Wireless Keyboard not connecting

I opened up the Logitech Mouse and Keyboard Settings, turned my keyboard off, changed out the batteries and turned it back on. It then detected the Keyboard and asked for a password, I entered in the password, it said it was rebooting it and asked for another password which I entered (both passwords were given to me in the Settings). Now it is working just fine! Not sure if you have tried this but it might work for you.

I put the USB plug in the two plug housings and the control immage on the screen still says "plug it in". It looks to me that my PC does not recognize my logitech web cam as it did in the past.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Keyboard works but the mouse won't work (starlogic wireless optical set)

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
