Hi there. Check and tighten all wiring connections. Check the hi limit for continuity across the terminals using an ohm meter, if it has no continuity, you have to replace the hi limit. Regards.
If it's a manual gas, then you have to hold the pilot button down for awhile, in order for the sensors to tell the pilot to lite....It takes some time. Check if the fryer receives sufficient gas pressure as specified on nameplate, if so, your pilot orifice may be clogged.You can clean this by removing 2pcs pilot screw (+) then dismantling the pilot assembly using a vise grip and an adjustable wrench. Once the pilot hood is removed, you will see the pilot orifice. Make sure that the hole will not get large when cleaning.
Pilot assembly is located between the two middle burners, this is where the pilot is lighted. You have to turn the gas valve knob to pilot position then push it while lighting the pilot assembly.
Visit http://www.middleby.com and go to PITCO web, you will be able to locate there the nearest authorized parts dealer on your area and ask for the conversion kit (from nat to lp). The gas valve conversion kit consists of spring, cap and instruction manual. you also need to replace the burner and pilot orifice, Nat pilot and burner orifice have larger bore than lp.
