This model has two evaporators, so Do you have an ice ball in behind the crisper (should be on the left)? Is there brown looking water going down the back and collecting under the crispers? I need two things, a complete model number (there is 8 different model with this number you gave) also where is the ice and water located? Thanks
blocked drain.
pull the fridge out and look at the back. somewhere (unless it has cover panel) you should see a small hose. this is the drain tube. blow through this and you will most likely feel it clear out a bit. then open the fridge. good chance there could be a bit of a mess to clean up
You are having a problem with the auto defrost system. You need to look around the control box to see if you can locate the drain and clean it out. Sometimes you need to move the refrig. out from the wall and look to see if you can get to the drain that way.Hope you found this helpful and thank you for using Fix ya
This is an issue with the convection system in the refrigerator, while the cold air trapped withing the crisper drawer remains and the temperature of the moisture in the area drops below the freezing point, the water content acts as a cover and thereafter enables the vegetables to freeze. A slight rearrangement of the utensils within the refrigerator solved the problem
Something to try....on the back wall of the fridge nearer to the top is a little cup like part sticking out. There is water in it but it usually runs down an attached tube inside back wall and ends up under the fridge and gets evaporated. If that tube or the little cup thing is plugged then it will drip in the fridge and collect on the inside bottom of the fridge. So the trick is to clean them out. Check it out ...may solve the problem.
The defrost water is supposed to go into a drain hole below the evaporation coils. The hole is clogged and the water goes down the back side of the refrigerator to the bottom. Seen it. You gotta clean out that drain hole. Shop vac works great.
I believe your defrost condensate drain has a blockage of ice and will need to be defrosted and clean the condensate line from the freezer to the condensate collection plate below your refrigerator. Most times the blockage begins slowly until the opening of the drain hole under the evaporator freezes itself shut. Below is a link to some solutions I have collected over a period of time. Also has a short movie that makes the repair look simpler. There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are caused by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze click on link below
begin by removing the grill on the front at floor level. look under there and you will see the evaporation pan. next pull the fridge out from the wall so you can get behind it. there you will see the tube. to unclog it you will have to disconnect it at the top and force hot water into it using a turkey baster.
