When it prints there is a line through the text printed that does not print and i need to know why it started printing like that all of a sudden. So it will print a line of text but there is a part of the text that it will not print. Looks like there is a line drawn through it. i tried changing the cartridge but that did not help. it was fine one day and the next day just started printing like that. has been like that for about a month now.

Sounds like the print head is at fault. The print head is actually a vertical line of small wires that move in and out to form the dots as the head moves across the page printing one row of characters at a time. One of the wires has failed. While it is possible that cleaning the print head with contact cleaner will resolve the problem, it might be time to replace the print head, or likely buy a used working replacement printer at less money than the cost to repair.

Printer keeps skipping lines when printing. very annoying

is this a case of the dots are missing for a valid line, or do you mean a line feed is added at the end of a line, ie you get 3 lines of text occupying 4 lines of space , or 4 lines of text occupies 4 lines of space, but one line has no printed dots on it? to make it more obvious, what does a document with say text thats 3cm tall look like? as it sounds to me like contacts need cleaning.. *** note for info: do not rely on printouts from within a BROWSER as that may have unpredictable results. All text will be treated as a large block of PIXELS and Not TEXT. also Non Printer fonts could cause similar issues.

I have a HP Deskjet 1300n printer. I can print my email, pictures and items off the internet, but cannot print any word documents or notepad documents. When I print an excel document, I get an incomplete page-the grid lines will print, and text garbage from a adobe program but not all the text. When I do a test print page, I get an incomplete text page, but do not know how to solve this. I have removed and reloaded the printer software-no improvement. There are no new drivers to be installed.

When printing all but a couple of lines print well. The lines that don't, have a line running through the text which hasn't printed

Please check the alignment of the printer,

GO to Start --> Click --> Printer and Faxes --> Open the Printer available --> Click on the Printer -- > select --> properties -- > Print a test page,

Does it print correct?
If not, then reinstall the Catridge after shake them well.

Let me know if no goods

Text printing now slightly larger than it used to be

Since the printer is only doing what it is told to do, it is my opionion that the data in the stream that goes to the printer has changed slightly.

Not knowing if you use 3rd party software to produce your labels, or if you manually write your code, take a look at the reference manual for programming if it is the latter and look for the opaque setting for that type and line of text. If you use a 3rd party app, you may need to contact them about the same type of setting.

This opaque type setting should allow the space around your characters to overlap without creating that box effect. Kind of like a gif with a transparent background.

Good luck

Scanning Problems

I need some more information are the lines horizontal or vertical? Does it print fine from the computer? Does this problem only happen when you scan an item in and then print it or copying an item then print it? Also when you get this output do you have some of the text and lines or just lines?
