I have recently switched to a Dual receiver from Dish network...I have a coax connection to my Sony but cannot find the way to change the input to find the signal from the coax cable. The TV will not take me out of the AV inputs. The TV is not connected to the 7 inputs that it is showing us...how do I switch the input to just accept the signal from the Satellite coax input?

We would be happy to help get that fixed right away. Thefirst thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on. Since we know you are using a coax cable to connect the receiver toTV1, check the receiver's back panel for the output name. If your receiver hasa "TV CH 3/4 out":Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "Home Distribution": TuneTV to channel 62 or 75. We also want to ensure that the TV and thereceiver are connected properly, please visit this link to for moreinformation: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-totv.Once we have made sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still notgetting a picture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the sameTV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. If youget a picture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474)for some additional troubleshooting. If it doesn't work with the othercomponent then replace the cable that was used.

We hope these steps resolve the issue. We want to thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!

How to hook up Dish Network Receiver

which Dish Receiver do u have. if it is a Dual Tuner (322,625,622, 722) u run a RG6 Coax from the Dish to the back of the Receiver. on back of the receiver there should be two ports (Dish 1,, and Dish2) u will need two short pieces of coax and a Separator ,(which should have come with the Receiver. u hook the coax from the outside Dish to the single port of the Separator , now u run a coax (or RCA or what ever) to the TV. Turn on TV and Receiver.
on the Dish remote u hit the Menu button and hit #6 then #1 and #1 again (wait for each screen to change ) u should see a signal bar at the bottom. U will need to get someone to turn the dish a little at a time till u get a signal. once u get a strong signal u hit the Check Switch and let it program.

Dish Network remote and receiver problem

Hi Tracy, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. With the TV2 remote working for both TVs, you will want to make sure the TV1 input on the receiver is connected to the TV cable (RCA or Coax cable) and TV2 input is connected to TV2 port on the back of the receiver. I will provide you our link explaining in more detail about connections. If you have any further questions I will provide you my e-mail; [email protected]. What channel does the tv have to be on - I have dish network - do I leave the dish off or on and move it to a certain channel?

First check what channel or input your TV is currently on bypowering the TV off then back on and noting the channel or input that appearson screen when the TV is powered on. If you are using a Coax Cable toconnect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver's back panel for the outputname. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out" (non-ViPReceiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it has"Home Distribution" output (ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 62or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, or HDMI) to connectreceiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until picture appears. In your casesince you have the Toshiba XDE500 connected between the receiver and TV, tuneTV and component to channel 3/4 (coax) or correct input. Hope this helps, andhank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

I have dish network and am trying to watch tv on my gateway plasma. how do i connect my satelite cable to plasma to get picture?

We would like to guide you through the connection process, but depending on what kind of receiver and TV you have this process may vary.Visit our "How to connect receiver" page here:http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver.

Once we have everything connected correctly, check what channel or input yourTV is currently on by powering the TV off then back on and noting the channelor input that appears on screen when the TV is powered on.

Steps for getting picture on TV1:
If you are using a Coax Cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check thereceiver's back panel for the output name. If your receiver has a "TVCH 3/4 out" (non-ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel4, if it has "Home Distribution" output (ViP Receiver):Tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA,Component, or HDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs untilpicture appears (this information may appear on the remote sticker), mostTVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or "Source" button.

Steps for getting picture on TV2:
Access "Modulator Setup" from TV1 by pressing "menu"then 6-1-5. Tune TV2 to the channel that appears under "TV2 Out" onscreen. If still no picture, change the "TV2 Out" mode fromAir to Cable, or if it's already on Cable, change it to Air. Then change thechannel of TV2 to what is now displayed under "TV2 Out".
If the issue is only on ONE receiver, unplug the DISH receiver for10 seconds and plug back in. It may take up to 5 minutes for the reset processto be completed. If you still are not getting a picture, connect anothercomponent (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the same TV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. If it works give us a call at1-800-333-DISH (3474) for additional troubleshooting, if you don't get apicture with the other component, replace the cable.

Hope this steps help, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

I can't get channel 3 to show satellite channels. They only show up on Video 3. I need channel 3 to work for surround sound. I checked wiring diagram and it looks like everything is hooked up the way it...

The only way this will show on channel three is to have the receiver connected via coax to the TV and since it is displaying on Video 3 it either is not or it is connected in more than one manner and the Coax port on either the receiver ot TV may be bad.

Lets just ensure that tha coax from the back of the receiver is attached to the CH3-4 out port and then run to the back of the TV. If the TV has a dual coax input it will need to be connected to the analog or antenna port.

If the receiver does not have a coax port for TV1 you can get an rf modulator to facillitate this conection.

If all else fails try taking the red and white cables that are connected to the TV from the receiver and connecting it to the surround directly.

I hope this assists you.

How do i use the ant. passthrough on tv2 in dual mode w/ dish dvr625

ANT. passthrough for an ant. connected to your 625 receiver will only work on tv 1. The only way to do this is to RF modulate your tv 2 coax to an RCA and hook the RcA cable to your tv2. then use another ant. to connect coax allowing you to pick up dish programing on an input and then going to the channels to enjoy local over the air programming.

DISH Network DVR-625 DTV - AUDIO PROBLEM ON LOCAL CHANNELS ONLY

I am probably stating the obvious here but here it goes:
If the 625 is connected to the tv using coax directly try using the RCA jacks to connect directly to the tv. If the 625 goes through a peripheral first, eliminate that peripheral and conect directly to the tv.If the problem exists with different media connections still at the same tv you can remove the coax off of the TV1(3-4) output on the back of the 625 and attach it to the TV2(CH60-73) output. You would then change your tv channel from 3 or 4 to ch 60air or 73 cable(which will be the same channel that TV2 is normally on in the remote room without the 625) Once you are on the right channel you will be able to tune TV1 to your local channel using the TV2 remote. If the audio is good here it eliminates the TV coax input on the TV1 and the coax cable connecting it as the source of the problem. You will have already eliminated any other inputs on the same tv as being faulty by using the other connecting media leaving you with the internal components of the receiver as being faulty. In this situation I know of no recourse except the obvious.
