Your fuel sensor that's in your tank may be broken, and may read 1/2 when really your empty. Could be the fuel pick up tube in the tank could be hung up somewhere and not on the bottom where it should be
Sounds like you're taking pictures in the internal memory. Try this, remove the card and try to play back pictures on your camera. If they play back, then they're on the internal memory. You can transfer them to your computer if you want to save them. Then, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Download any pictures from the memory card and then, format it in the camera.
It is a download you will receive in an email. The digital images are in gif. format that can be put on your digital scrapbooking pages, printed out to make a dit-cut to put on your pages, cards, tags, gifts, paper piecings, etc.
