Blue tooth and wireless LAN does not install after installing windows XP sp3

Problem with a Sony Vaio. It seems one of the updates put entries in my registry to start a Vaio Lan Manager with Windows.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Check these keys to see if any kind of a 3rd party Lan Manager is running. If so, delete the entries and reboot.

I'm forget my sony vaio vgn-tx670p bios password??

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD.

How do I remove keyboard of vgn-tx670P?

If I recall correctly, there are eight screws (maybe nine?) that need to be removed from the bottom of the machine, then the keyboard gets pushed down toward the front of the computer just enough to clear four tabs at the top. Then lift up, push toward the screen to clear four tabs at the bottom. Turn the keyboard upside-down to reveal the cable underneath. Flip up the latch and remove the cable from the system board.

Vgn-cs26m will not start, boot into windws and shuts down

kevin,
Is this the pink sony vaio? Looks familiar . . .
The problem with this model of sony vaio is the fan that's why it keeps on shutting down after a few minutes. If you notice there is no activity on the internal fan. The internal fan and heat sink is on the same module.I have already replaced the fan on one of this models and its now working just fine.
just look for a spare fan on ebay . . .
hope this helps . . .

Sony vaio fan is making a grinding noise, how can i fix this?

The sony VGN-S460 seems to have an inherent problem with their cpu fans. It is apparent that the fan uses a ball bearing system which over time becomes worn and causes the grinding sound.

The only solution is to replace the entire fan assembly as they are inseparable.
