I understand that the machine is printing only in BK. You have lost color.

If so, do run the cleaning cycles several times and run quality check test prints after each cycle.

There should be color again.

Otherwise the ph is defective!

How to Cancel Printing in a Brother HL-2135W printer

Start by pulling the paper tray out to stop further pages being printed without jamming the printer up.

Then go onto your print queue on your computer and delete the job that is printing 50 pages.

If it dissapears then put the paper tray back in and it may print out the last page or two that were in the printer buffer.

If it does not dissapear from the print queue then turn the printer off and try to delete the job again.

Once you have ordered the job deleted then you can turn your printer back on and put the paper tray back in and allow it to continue. It should only print out the last page or two and then the job will dissapear

How to Stop Printing while it is Printing ?

Start by pulling the paper tray out. This will cause the printer to finish the page it was on when it was interrupted rather than paper jam somewhere in the machine.

Once you have interrupted the print job this way then you can cancel the print job from the PC and then once that has been done turn the Printer off for a few minutes to clear the memory buffer.

Turn it back on and it should be cleared.

4TH LIGHT FROM THE TOP KEEPS COMING ON LEXMARK E232

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.

How to clear Paper Jam

Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.

To get the secondary error codes

When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.

Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.

To clear a paper jam:

1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

I would like your advice as to how to stop a Printing job before completion on Canon LBP2900B I have been wasting A4 paper because the full job has to run its course even though I wish the job to...

when printing, you may press the CANCEL button on the printer, right-click the printer tray icon and click view print jobs, then cancel a print job before it completes. you may also want to try specifying only the pages you want to be printed instead of selecting all pages to avoid unnecessary print outs. hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

When printing lines are running through the sentences.I have a brother mfc440cn printer

I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".

This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.

Good Luck

Printer says Paper Jam but it is not

  1. Remove the paper from the paper tray.
  2. Press the Power button and then wait for the jam to clear.
    • If the paper jam cleared, try the print job again.
    • If the paper jam is not resolved, continue.
  3. Remove the rear access door. Press the handle to the right, and then pull out the door.
  4. Remove any paper that is inside the printer by pulling the paper out from the back of the printer.
  5. Replace the rear access door.
  6. If the paper jam cannot be removed from the back of the printer, raise the product cover, carefully remove the jam from the front of the product, and then lower the cover.
  7. Re-load the paper in the In tray. Fanning the paper makes sure that the pages are not stuck together.
  8. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
  9. Open the document in the application in which it was created.
  10. Click File, Print, Properties, Printing Preferences click Paper/Quality tab.
  11. Verify that the type of paper specified in the Type is text box matches the type of paper being used. A paper jam might result if photo paper is specified in the Printer Properties dialog box, but plain paper is loaded in the printer.
  12. Click OK to try job again.

Lexmark x1240 printer will not print.

Keep your paper feed under 15 pages. The paper will tend to pull to the right, but it will print correctly on the printed page. 20 to 25 pages in the feeder will result in a paper jam. To find the status on the print job, go to your control conter and hit printers. Choose your spicific printer and you may beable to save the printjob.
