ZENITH PLASMA TV 18months old, is damaged

My zenith plasma TV, stared by shown black spots in the image, later I heard a little click, and felt like a plastic burned smell, I turned the TV off. I turned it on back again, the same thing happened.
Thanks for your advise.

A large pop and I lost my screen, it turned black

Its not the CRT, its the Y Sustain board.. This happened to mine 30 minutes ago.. and has happened to every owner of a plasma tv that uses the toshiba Y Sustain board..

You may need a new plasma cell. You are best calling in a qualified repair tech to handle any repairs to a plasma unit as the plasma units can be very exspensive if you were to damage the cell structure.

try inspecting all caps to see if anything poped out the top or leaky. if none, try replacing the zsus, ysus and upper and lower driver boards. must do all at the same time.

Does anything come on the screen? Input display box?
If no:
Sounds like it could be a blow capacitor. Cheap part, but need someone with a little electronic know how repair to fix it.
