I have a samsung a660 phone that displays "Offline Mode" on the main screen, and a satellite searching for service.. i cant seem to beable to make or receive calls..? wondering if theres a way it can b fixed?

use the remote and exit that, push exit until back to main screens.
You can try a couple of things to try and save it. Phones do not like water. If you are mechanically inclined, take the phones rear cover and front covers off. Take the internal parts and put them on the dash of your car all afternoon. If you cant take apart try this or you can put the phone in the oven (no joke) at a real low setting for a while. You don't have much time to dry it out before it gets corroded so do this right away. If it doesn't work you can always trade it in for another phone.
Offline mode is an indicator of water damage or moisture damage. This is considered physical damage to the phone, and one would have to pay the deductible if you had insurance in order to get a replacement. If you don't have insurance, check for upgrade eligibility.
