Dear Cheryl93,
You Do Not Have The Correct Programs. Goto Google And See If You Can Download The Creative Zen MP4 Program. This Should Come With A Media Player And A Way To Add/Remove Music.

My Creative Zen MP3 player wont charge. What to do?

This could be many things including an bad power supply or bad USB cable. If you have the ability to swap those out for testing, you should. It is very possible, however, that the battery or even the unit is defective. I believe the Zen has not been manufactured in almost five years -- all rechargeable batteries have a limited life and you may be past the usable life of this.

It is possible to replace the battery, but it's not that easy. You can find instructions below, but I would suggest looking for a new MP3 player.

Creative zen microphoto crashed and havent used it in a bit but i got it charged last night and i have a new computer now i connected it and it showing up but i have to reload the firm wear but when i go...

I had the same problem with my creative micro. Do you still have the CD-ROM that came with the mp3? If so just download the creative software from the disc then restart you computer, you computer should see it after that. It worked for me... I even used the wrong disc, I've had both Micro and Micro Photo mp3s, and i still had the CD-ROM for the microphoto.
How did you get your Microphoto to charge after it crashed? I cant seem to figure this one out. I even have a new battery for it, but it wont turn on at all.

My creative zen wont turn on just bl;ack screen

I've had this problem a few times when I haven't used my Zen for a couple of weeks. Even when the unit is powered off it still consumes battery (as the clock continues to work in the background) - so eventually the battery completely dies.

Hook it up to your PC with the USB cable and, if you can see the battery icon and it looks like it's charging, then just leave it for about 1-2 hours (it takes this long to come back to full life - enough to be recognized by your PC, anyway.

If possible, find another USB cable that will fit the connector, as the white USB that comes with the Zen is pretty rubbish and takes forever to charge - I use the mini USB cable that came with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 phone and it works a lot better.

Best of luck.

My zen was working know its not at all wont turn on or off

Just look at the left side of the mp3, not where all the buttons are, but on the bottom left corner of the side of your mp3, and a little tiny barely noticeable button is there. it says "reset" click it and it should reboot or it'll start working
I recently found this out today :)
I had the same problem about like 15 times xD
So hope this helps!

Don't buy this unit. The power system is prone to being blown out when disconnecting from USB. I've blown out two. I'm on my third. BAD DESIGN. AVOID IT!

Zen wont turn on or charge

Creative Zen
Try another PC or another USB port
Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
Reset
Check for firmware update on Creative's website
Get Recovery Tool from Creative
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If all else fails, check with this guy:
