FULL CHARGE DOES NOT LAST, BATTERY RUNS OUT AFTER 6 HOURS

Do you still have the old battery. If so charge it, and see if it charges properly. If so then you have a bad battery.

How old is your controller, maybe your battery is dying. Try opening your controller and replace it.

Sometimes the battery will be good enought to run lights but will not turn car over. I would have battery put on a full charge and see if it holds up. if battery will not hold a full charge it is bad. If your car runs and the battery last a few hours then goes low again, It most likley is the alternator. put battery back on full charge and replace alt, and you are ready to run.

Hi they recomend charge it for at least 6 hours this will give it a full charge, its best if you let the battery go totally flat before you charge it as doing this prevents the battery getting bad cells and will keep it lasting a lot longer.

charge it for 6 hours the first time but it will only usually take 3 or 4 hours to give it a full charge.

The manufactures ratings are based on testing purposes that your MFG. Battery willl last approx 2.5 hours on a full charge.

You can purchase longer lasting batteries up to 6 hours but there pretty steep in price.

Just charge it until the battery indicator indicates that the battery is full. If you want to make sure you properly condition your new battery, charge it for 12-16 hours, even if full. But usually, charging until full is sufficient, and should not take more than 6 hours if new.

What you have been using are consumer grade walkie talkies. The rechargeable battery packs in them should last a full business day, unless you are in a high use area. This being said, it is also possible you might need to replace the rechargeable battery pack as they usually have just a one year life expectancy. As they start to fail they will go less and less time in a day.

To answer your question about a radio which will go a full business day, any of the business division Motorola handheld radios would work. Radios such as the CP110, BPR40, CP185, and CP200 are all make to go a full day and sometimes more. Their battery packs depending on chemistry would also need to be replaced every 18-24 months.
