Air button body's are threaded and there is a nut on the under side of the body that holds it in place.

Why doe my Jacuzzi tub come on by itself? I turn it off and it comes back on shortly after.

Hello Nellie1221,

Your TYPICAL Jacuzzi switch is a FAIRLY SENSATIVE
air-pressure activated button... (common trouble
(in my opinion)).

Quite A POPULAR REPLACEMENT item...
Put up your MODEL of tub on the internet to see
where your parts might be... or get your original parts list
(owners manual)

I would look to eBay (and AMAZON) ...
first before going straight to

Repairng the air button on jacuzzi tub

Richard,
There are two pieces to an air switch, one is the bellows button which you push to turn the pump on and off, the other is the air switch located on the pump with a plastic tube coming out of it. In the newer models the switch is located on the top of the pump in a small black box secured by two screws. My money is on the switch on the pump, I have rarely seen a bellows go bad. You might want to find some aquarium pump tubing and attach it to the tube location on the back of the pump, fill the tub and blow into the tube. If the pump comes on, its the bellow, if the pump does not come on then it is the switch located on the pump

How do you replace a jacuzzi air switch

The air switch used in jetted tubs is mounted in the box on the bath pump.
Remove the pump from under the tub and take the top of the little box off by removing the two screws holding it in place.
Once the screws are removed you may lift the lid off and you will see two wires going to the air switch, one wire coming from the pump power cord and the other from inside the motor.
Remove the two wires from the air switch and then remove the air switch from the pump by taking off the nut that holds the air switch in place.
Reinstall the air switch by putting the two wires back onto the air switch and put the cover back on the box on the motor.

Three button control panel for jacuzzi tub

Pull off all three knobs and then the plastic graphic rings and you will find 2 screws under each. After removing the screws the whole plate can pop off. If your problem is anything like mine, your air pump is full of water and needs to be replaced. After removing all the screws you can carefully pry it up with a thin tool, it is most likely caulked to the tub. You can find replacement parts and names for it here:

If it's stackable, you'll want to start by removing the dryer.
Open the door and remove the outer bellow spring around the bellow to release it from the cabinet lip. At this point lean the machine back to give more space between the drum and the cabinet.
Remove the kickplate for easier access and to visually check for leaks later.
At the top/right of the bellows (close to the tub) loosen the bellow to tub clamp and pull out the bellow.
Install the new bellow starting at the top by aligning the marks. Work your way around until bellows is properly seated snug against the tub.
Replace the tub to bellow clamp and tighten it (make sure the bellow stays snug against the tub while tightening the clamp). Once in place, lay the machine back to level and reinstall the front of the bellows to the cabinet with the outer bellow spring clamp.
With towels handy (just in case), let the machine fill and agitate for a few minutes and check for water leaks. If all is well, re-install the kickplate and wash some laundry.
Good luck!
