I downloaded media player 11, I clicked on shuffle, it cleared all music on sansa e200 so I could relaod it. now when I try to dpwnload music from my PC. the mp3 player just cycles on n off..

When syncing to wmp 11 it will ask if you want existing files deleted say no.
On n off: Try connecting it to another computer the back straight to the motherboard this should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize If not try a laptop.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe)

Sansa c240

Sansa c200 series – Computer/OS Not Recognizing
Connect the device to the PC in MSC Mode
View/c200: Turn on then press and hold the rewind button while plugging to the PC
If that fails, unplug the Sansa from the computer. Uninstall all the Sansa software in the add/remove programs section of Control Panel. Reinstall the clean version of the software from Sandisk’s website – make sure you get the files for the c200 series. Then replug the Sansa and try again. The root of the problem is that Sansa has one set of drivers and Windows has another. If you plug the mp3 player into the computer before installing the Sansa drivers, the Windows drivers will trump the Sansa’s.
Here is a helpful link from Sandisk on the problem with extra information on Vista operating systems:

Sansa 4Gb Wont let me add or delete songs anymore!

If the PC does not recognize the player, try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
