My Sceptre X32GV-Komodo got a problem recently: I heard a little sound like "PA" then the screen turned to black while I was using VGA to watch movie from a PC, the Power LED was still Blue. Later, I turned it off and on, Red Sceptre showed for a second then gone, no any picture, and the LED stayed at Blue until I used remote to turn it to standy and RED LED. The remote can only turn on/off the TV, Press "Source" to select other inputs(TV or Video) seems no response. Any suggestion about what parts might be the problem?

Hello,

This type of issue is usually caused by blown capacitors on the power supply board. If you wan to do the repair yourself then go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm and look at the pictures of what to look for in your monitor. Now open the unit and look for the power supply board, replace all parts hat look like the pictures and have even slightly bulging tops. The page on our wen site gives more information about the replacement parts. If you need to order parts we do stock them for same day shipping. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for your model for $45 plus return shipping. Let us know if you have any additional questions by email at [email protected].

I hope this helps you, if so please rate our solution.

No blue light on 32 in sceptre tv but everything else works fine

If you mean the blue color spectrum isn't there and you are using component cables, check both ends of the blue connections to make sure they are pushed all the way in.

Why are there multi-colored lines in the middle of the TV?

The usual suspects include main and other boards it is connected to up to and including a defect inside the display panel itself which is of course fatal.

No sound, no picture

If by catscan sound you mean a high pitched whine? That usually indicates that the power section has had a part fail. The capacitors on the main board will cause this. You can take it to the shop but get an estimate first as the repair cost can be close to replacement as the prices keep falling. The repair parts are pretty cheap but the labour isn't.
