My oster 3071 rice cooker showed ''E2'' on the LED, and the cooker could not be reset to normal status by power cycle. All of the function buttons are disabled now.
It happened on my oster 3071 the error e2 just appear the only that i did was open it and I found out that the blue wire which is connected on the lid is cut so i just reconnect the wire and stick it together using souldering iron and presto it is good as new again
The same happened to mine. I figured that the humidity sensor was acting up. Couldn't find a replacement, so I measured its resistance and replaced it with a resistor.
One of the wires under cap is broken. Solder and cover it by adding a heatshrink. That's all.One of the wires under cap is broken. Solder and cover it by adding a heatshrink. That's all.

My Oster rice cooker, model 3071 is showing E2 code, the pads don’t work. It’s beeping without stopping the noise. How could I fix it up ? Thank you in an advance.!
There could be something "blown " inside. have a close look underneath for screws so that you can undo and have a look at the components inside. Check for burnt wiring or terminals. Replace a s required. These type of cookers also have an overheat device which may have tripped if it overheated. You will need a multimeter to check if that has "open circuited"
Rice cookers will only cook if you have enough water in it. If all the water has cooked out, then the cooker will turn off. Remember when you put your rice in the cooker, make sure you level it off. Then add twice as much water so that it will over cover the rice.
