My oster 3071 rice cooker showed ''E2'' on the LED, and the cooker could not be reset to normal status by power cycle. All of the function buttons are disabled now.
It happened on my oster 3071 the error e2 just appear the only that i did was open it and I found out that the blue wire which is connected on the lid is cut so i just reconnect the wire and stick it together using souldering iron and presto it is good as new again

One of the wires under cap is broken. Solder and cover it by adding a heatshrink. That's all.
