Deleting contact name number after texting.

Are you sending to someone who would have you in their contact list. If not, then likely the phone has no way to know it is you texting. Typically texts are sent as phone number and the receiving phone checks it's contact list to see if it matches anyone and then substitutes the name for the number automatically.

whats app is for texting only. you need to launch the app, input your mobile number and any other information the app asked you for. it will then say it has sent you an sms with a one time pin. once the sms has arrived close the app (press the home button), open the sms app and read the one time pin. remember it. open the whatsapp app and enter the one time pin from the sms. it will verify the sms and then ask you for more information like your display name etc. fill it in and click next until you are at a screen with a small square with a pencil in it, in the top right corner. press that button and then select a contact from your contact list which will be displayed. type your message in the now available text bar and press "send" which is next to the text bar, when ready. this is how you message with whatsapp. to exit the chat press the "chats" button in the top left.

This problem can be a bit annoying. After deleting a contact in my LG840g a long time ago, the number would still be there as an option when I send text messages. However, after much research it is no longer there, so I'm happy.

What I did after viewing a suggestion from another reviewer for another LG model is basically sent blank text messages to as many inessential numbers in my phone as I could at one time (5 is the max on my LG840g). I sent texts to AT&T, Bud's Gun Shop, Ace Elite Card, the college that I attend, and a local checking cashing place 7 times until it eventually cleared that annoying number from my phone. This has worked for me.

Note that the inessential numbers you send texts to will take the place of that annoying number, so if that is OK, then make sure that the annoying number is deleted from your contact list first, and try it.

start the message and the hit menu add recipients then hit name you want repeat for each name you want to add

you can find list option under message tab , using that first create a list , then add your contact details in that list ,while sending message you can opt to send to group or list ,so that you can send to many at same time using group text

This issue only occurs when trying to send a SMS text message from within the call details screen of a call in the call log.
To avoid this issue, complete the following steps to send a SMS text message from the call log screen:

1. Open the Phone application.
2. Open the Call Log by clicking the middle button in the toolbar.
3. Touch the call log/contact in the list without clicking the screen.
4. Display the menu, then select SMS Text (Name/Number).
5. If required, rotate the BlackBerry smartphone to switch to landscape mode.

This issue only occurs when trying to send a SMS text message from within the call details screen of a call in the call log.
To avoid this issue, complete the following steps to send a SMS text message from the call log screen:

1. Open the Phone application.
2. Open the Call Log by clicking the middle button in the toolbar.
3. Touch the call log/contact in the list without clicking the screen.
4. Display the menu, then select SMS Text (Name/Number).
5. If required, rotate the BlackBerry smartphone to switch to landscape mode.

It will probably stay until a different contact takes it's place. You can also try adding their name again exactly as it was. After that, edit from your list of contacts by changing the contact name and number to that of directory assistance or other contact.

Take a picture and select it to send. Under Options on the camera screen, it will populate the screen to send. if you go to your recent list (last option), it will bring up folks you've TEXT. Select the names you want to remove, then Options. You can delete the contacts here, which removes them from your recent list, but not your "hard contact" list in the main phone.

Go to the messaging menu choose send message then go to Voice SMS or Picture Mail, okay then choose Recent List there you should see the recent contact you have texted to select the ones you want to delete and press options there you can delete the selected or delete all.
