This did not work . The SVA U-01 universal remote works with SVA-USA HD4208TIII-PDP 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television. It does not have a blinking light. Also your link takes me to a PDF escape web page for open files. I don't understand the purpose of this link. Check out this remote online. It is sold as the only universal remote that is compatible with this TV model.

Thank you for the text but this universal does not work like this. There is no light that blinks.

Hi from what i can remember on the remote you need to do the following

1 turn on tv
2 press tv key on remote
3 press and hold setup untill the light blinks twice then release
4 enter the first five digit code for the tv brand you wish to program, the led blinks once as each number is typed in, if the code you typed in is valid then the light blinks twice
5 aim remote at telly and press mute this should mute the telly if not then the code is wrong.

you need to let me know make and model of telly to give you the right code

actuall try CLICKING HERE

that link should give you the manual in pdf format if this is not your correct remote try the method anyway as it may be the same if its not or the link dont work then post me a message back then ill send you more instructions and other links that should help you.

Is there a remote for SVA PDP HD4208TIII that is a universal remote or would I have to buy the original one for approx $40 ish ????

There are universal remotes that seem to be able to operate almost anything, available at stores, but I don't know how much you would save over the $40 original... The Universal remote could be used with a new TV when you replace this one, though.

RCA universal remote

Try it without a code. Turn your tv off. Press tv then press the on.off button and tv button at the same time. When it lights up, press play every five seconds until the tv powers off. Next press the reverse button every few seconds (sometimes takes a while), until it powers back on. When it powers back on hit the stop button to save the code.

Remote control codes

The only remote that works is the one 4 all. Call ONE 4 ALL for the right model number. They then can program the remote on the phone to operate the SVA tv. It worked for me until the set died this week. Guess why I am looking on this site.
