It could be that they were damaged in someway or the memory slot in the PS2 is broken. I've been able to fix mine by blowing into both openings, the slot and the card, but if that doesn't work, check the game it self to see. Usually the game will say something like "Saving Data-Please Do Not Turn Off System Or Remove Memory Card". If it isn't saying that, it probably hasn't saved at all.

Memory Card Corrupted

you cannot save another file until you delete previous one.Corruption occurs if the memory card is removed from console or if you reset the game while saving or loading game remember this also happens when you are saving or loading game and electricity turns off.

Ps2 memory card wont work

check the back of the game cover to see how many blocks it will use to save the game data. Your memory card may not be big enough. You may need to buy a bigger memory card to save the data.

Ps2 memory cards

ok, u must have a PS1 memory card in order to save PS1 games. the common PS2 memory card will not save old style game data. for a good place to get a PS1 memory card, a local Gamestop store, or Ebay. good luck man.

Playstation card

Your question is somewhat confusing, using a playstation 2 memory card, will have PS2 game saves on it, how would you play PS2 games on a PS1 from the save, you can't. If you just mean you are using a PS2 card for a PS1, the way a PS2 card saves data is different to a PS1 card, so it probably won't work You can use your PS1 memory cards in the PS2. You can only use the PS1 memory cards to save PS1 games that you are playing in your PS2. You can't save any PS2 game data to a PS1 memory card
