I have the swatch cordless II phone with base station however I have lost the instruction manual for the base station and therefore cannot register the handset with the base station. Has anyone got a operating manual that they can share?

• Press and hold handset locator on base station until 'in use' light comes on.
• Press # on the handset and the phone registers itself to the base station.

I repeated the above procedure with my two remaining handsets and now I have a 6 handset cordless system for my home.

I assume you're asking about a cordless phone? Cordless handsets need to be "registered" to a particular base station. You wouldn't want your handset responding to your neighbor's calls, would you? Would you want your neighbor picking up your calls?


The manual will give you instructions on registering your handset to the base. If you still have trouble, please repost your question, specifying the make and model of your phone.

When you see this 'register' message, it means that that particular DECT handset must be registred to the selected 'Base' station: please consult your User manual/guide for the steps by steps instruction on how to register a new handset to your base station for the specific compatible model(s).

Sounds like the antenna on the base station is not receiving, or the cordless handset is not transmitting -OR- the sets have never been registered to the base station (please look up registering to base station, if the set has never been registered)

Did the cordless set work before?

The base station or the handset may just have a hick up, I would un-plug the base station and leave it un-plugged... now get all the cordless set(s), and take out the batteries from the cordless set(s). Wait for about 15 seconds for all the power to drain out of the sets, then re-install the batteries.

Once all the cordless sets are back up and working, plug in the base station and wait for about 1 minute.
This forces the base station to re-establish and link between the base station and the cordless sets.

Here are the instructions for registering a new handset for the BT Freestyle 2200.

1. go to menu, then HS setting, then registration, register
2. follow the steps and register the set to the base.
3.press and hold the base mute button for 10 seconds, press next to continued
4.select the cbs and connect it.
5.enter 0000 as a password

You may need to "reset" the whole system. Do this by :
1 Unplug phone line, power to charger base, and remove the batteries.
2 Wait a couple of minutes.
3 Plug in batteries first, then phone line, and finally the power cord.

Then try to set the phones in the basecharger to register.

I don't know where a manual can be found, but I know you need to place each handset in the main cradle / base station for at least 20 seconds for the handset to get Registered to that base station.

Place handset on main base station for 20 seconds.
