Question about Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse

2 Answers

This mouse keeps un-clicking itself... .-.

I have a Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse, and when ever I go to some program, like, for example, paint, and try to make some kind of line with the pencil tool, the mouse un-clicks itself without me releasing the button... .-.

Can somebody tell me what's causing this and how to fix it?

Had same problem, as well as problem with erratic highlighting capabilities -- trouble getting highlighted text to hold rather than portions of the text being randomly dropped from highlighted area. In general, it appeared that left-mouse "hold-down" actions were not functioning properly anymore. Solution that worked to remedy all: Took off cover to battery area and used can of dust remover to blow out all possible nooks and crannies inside the mouse case. Worked like a charm! Mouse now responding properly to all left-mouse clicks/hold-down actions (i.e., highlighting text areas, diagonally pulling a corner of a box to make it bigger, etc.)
