Inside tub seems out of balance

When my washer starts the washing cycle, it sounds like the inside tub is off balance. The washer itself is level and not appearing to be out of balance. Is the whole tub inside suppose to move? Mine does. Also, the agitator does not move at all if you try to move it with your hand. Is it suppose to?

My Maytag Bravos top load washer upon spin cycle shakes so bad that it shuts itself off in less than ten seconds. It's level, true level, clothes are evenly distributed and not too many?

One or more of the tub suspension rods or dampening straps could be damaged. Does the tub bounce smoothly, if you push it down and then release it? This checks the suspension rods. Other parts related to balancing the tub include the suspension pads, springs or balance rings. (The washer will usually squeal and shake badly, if the tub bearing is failing.)

The washer shuts off to avoid damage additional damage to the washer.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of the washer, if you need a parts diagram to show where to look for these parts. The model number may be on the machine in one of these places: on the back behind the control panel, inside the lid on the bottom right corner, or on the back of the washer on the base frame on the left.

Haier hlp23e jolting noise spin

You need to level it again. (the knobs on the bottom of it are threaded so you can adjust them to make them level, it can be time consuming, so it is best to start with the one that is shortest.

Washer shakes during spin cycle

Sounds like the washer is off balance, washers have leveling feet you should adjust 1 or all until when u push the washer it does not move.If you still have this problem it could be the wash tub itself, always make sure when you load your washer to evenly distribute your clothes too.Hope this helps.

My washer seems to be "off balance" for EVERY

Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWA seems to be rubbing

I suspect that you have a leveling bracket come loose. Many of the Maytag washers also use a large concrete block fastened underneath to help balance things. Look to see if yours is this type. If so then the steel rod holding thinge that holds it in place may have come loose...should be easy to put back correctly but will require some muscle. Most of the Sears Kenmore units have springs that can come loos from their connections and require re hooking but I do not think you have this type of unit for a Maytag. Hope this helped.

Spins so harder washer walks across the room. the washer is level. the load is balanced. is it the tub inside the washer that is not level

Engage your lid switch so that washer will spin in spin cycle and watch it spin. At end of cycle when washer shuts down the tub should come to a fairly sudden stop if it doesn't then you need to have the brake worked on. If it does post your model number and i'll advise further.

Maytag HAV4657EWW tub bangs during spin

This washing machine has self-leveling rear legs. Tilt the machine up on the front legs and you'll hear the back legs drop down to re-level itself. Center the basket and restart.

Unbalanced spin cycle

it sounds like one of the levellers is out or the bearings in the tub are shot.
