In the Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization. Try the Restore desktop gadgets installed with Windows or Add a gadget. I'm not sure if the restore will work; adding a new clock gadget, at worst, would make the computer think you have two loaded (with the clock that is sometimes desirable to check the time in multiple time zones).

I hope this helps.

Did you delete and remove the hidden Windows 7 System boot partition before you installed XP?

Download a copy of Easeus Partition Manager Home Edition Free and install this on a second computer where you can create a Boot CD for this utility.

Boot your computer with the problem from the Easeus Boot CD then check that you do not have the hidden Windows 7 system partition - it is approximately 100MB in size.

I'm try to install new window 7 64 bit into compaq presario c700 ,but load and stand after window load. it says window starting and nothing happen.

Hi there !

If there is problem on loading you window 7. Try to run it on safe mode by pressing F8 when starting to reboot your computer. When running on safe mode, windows will automatically fix some error regarding some loading problems.

After press F8, just choose run on safe mode and it will read and fixed all errors on drivers. Computer can crashed because of faulty drivers installed or too many same drivers installed. This solution will fix your problem.

I hope it helps you. Thank you for using FixYa !

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Tools\DelFolders"exe

It is said that this file "DelFolders.exe" is actually installed with an EliteGroup Motherboard Driver and it's not important in a Windows system and there's no harm either. The main problem with error you are getting is that, this folder might have been actually deleted or has been moved or something like that. There are several options to disable this error.

First from the All Programs, I can't make this specific since you didn't mention the Motherboard model/brand and the Operating System installed on your computer, this demonstration is for windows xp, I hope you will be able to do the same in windows vista or windows 7. Click "start", navigate through the names of the installed programs and locate "reboot.exe", once it's found, delete the file. You can also search the file "reboot.exe" and delete it, this annoying message will no longer pop once your system is restarted.

Another tip, open registry editor by typing in "regedit" in the run box (start search box in vista and 7) and locate this entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/RunOnce and delete the "RunOnce" folder (right-click and select delete, then "Ok")

It's like this,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
CurrentVersion
RunOnce

Once it's deleted, restart your computer. These are the two common fixes. I don't mean that you should do both, but if the first one didn't help, try with the second method.

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Windows 7 gadgets working wrong

You dont need side bar anymore, rightclick anywhere on desktop and goto gadgets, Add the ones you want, put them where you want (side, top, anywhere) and thats your gadgets as they were in vista.

If you have installed Windows 7 beta then you must be aware of the bug that whenever UAC is switched off, Sidebar and Gadgets in Vista fails to display properly on Windows 7 Desktop. Though this is not for every machine but many users have reported this problem that their Sidebar and Gadgets are not working properly.
For older beta versions of Windows 7 there had been some temporary workarounds for the same problem. But if you are using Win7 Build 7000.0.081212 then this can be fixed using a simple registry hack which like in Vista will Elevate your Sidebar and Gadgets Process.
If you know how to play with you registry Editor then just open regedit.exe from Run command in Windows 7 and go to KEY
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings From there edit the DWORD value of AllowElevatedProcess and set it to 1. You don’t need to restart your Windows 7 computer after this. If your sidebar and Gadgets were not working properly earlier then they will be fixed instantly.

Error Code: 2753 " Fatal Error or error MSI.dot4msi"

CAUSE:
Certain HP services (and associated DLL files) were somehow partially/improperly installed. (Possibly, from a previous failed install?)
The Windows services (files) were:
Pml Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZipm12.dll)
Net Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZinw12.dll)
The existence of these 2 files in the System32 directory was causing this error in my situation. Somehow, the installation script was not identifying that these files were already installed (or improperly installed) and failing to properly set them to be installed again.
SOLUTION:
Steps:
1) Check to make sure that the 2 Windows services above are not running (or not installed).
2) Rename/delete the 2 associated service DLL files (this will only be possible once the services are stopped)
3) Run the installation again.
