You should not use that version of the moon shell. Use this stable version. Multi
Media Software - MoonShell 1.71 . To open this, right click, open on new window and your download will start!
First, take everything out of the packaging. Turn you computer on and go to your desktop. Then take you MicroSD card out and connect it to/ insert it in the T-flash (the USB port connector), and plug that into you USB port. Wait for the "what do you want to do?" menu to load and click "open folder to view files. After that, go to http://www.ishopvideogame.com/r4i-for-dsi-cid-167.html. Search for your version and download the latest kernel version. ( the kernels are wat say "r4i version 1.4," and etc.) Once you have downladed it, if you do not have an extractor/unzip program go to http://rarlab.com/download.htm and download winrar for you computer. If you already have an unzip/extractor program, use it on the kernel file you just downloaded. You will see a new file appear with the same name. Open the file and drag your mouse over all of the folder's contents, then right click and select 'copy' then paste them into your MicroSD card folder. Thats all you need to do, and for roms you just copy and paste them into the MicroSd card folder. i would suggest making a members account on Romulation.net, a great downloading place for roms.
If you can get into the card menu then you have the right software, but it sounds like severe instability like a fake card would have. Try the <a href="http://www.dscardworld.com">R4i SDHC</a>. It's been proven to work better then the R4i Gold.
Do you have the R4i SDHC? It should have come in a red box. I bought my iEdge from dscardworld and on their download page they have the latest software for R4i SDHC.
There are several different versions of software for the R4 cards. If your R4 card has 'R4i Upgrade' and 'V1.4' in a yellow star on the front or just 'R4 Upgrade' then download this software - http://de.r4i-sdhc.com/R4i%20English%20V1.14b.rar
If your R4 has 'R4i Upgrade' without the 'V1.4' yellow star then download this software - http://de.r4i-sdhc.com/R4i%20English%20V1.09b.rar
If you do not already have 'WinRar' installed then download and install it here - http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar391.exe
When you click the correct link above choose 'save' and save the file on your computer. When it has downloaded insert your R4's SD micro card into the USB adapter put it into your PC. Go to 'My Computer' and look for the SD card drive, probably called 'Removable Disk'. right click the drive and select 'Format'. Check the box to allow a quick format and wait for it to complete. After open the drive by double clicking it to display an empty window and then minimize it to the taskbar with the '-' command in the top right of the window. Next go to the location where you downloaded the software above, usually 'My Documents' or the 'Desktop' by default. Right click the file and select 'Extract Files...'. Click the SD drive you just formatted, i.e 'Removable Disk (E:)' to highlight it in blue and then click, 'OK'.
You may now copy your .nds game files to the SD card or insert it into your R4 cartridge and your DS.
Go to linfoxdomain, and check that you have the right software for the r4i gold, thats the only thing that can be wrong with r4i gold if you have loaded the games right, have you unzipped all the games, if you have done all that right it must be the card,
You just store the music files in a folder on the micro sd card. But you'll need to get a homebrew called Moonshell to open the music files. I got an iEdge card and its got moonshell integrated into the menu.
