Only 3 ways to do this 1)take your sump hose off under the washer place your fingers on the inside of the washer and turn the drum slowly but watch your fingers the inner drum will act like a cheese grater i know this due to doing it myself and only once 2)got to strip it down totally but this is a big job m8 3)leave for a while it will find itself to the sump hose but this could damage your inner drum by tearing the side

Screw holding metal plate above element in upper oven to the roof has dropped out. The seating in the roof in which the replacement screw inserts has no fixing to take the replacement. Please help?

I came across the same problem on a friend's stove/oven.
It turned out that the threaded plate, like a wide nut, had come loose inside the top space above the oven cavity.
Found the exploded schematic on the web, then we rocked the stove to confirm something was sliding around.
Rather than dismantling the entire stove to retrieve it, I used a 6mm stainless steel pop-rivet to re-attach the element bracket.

Loose handle on a Sub Zero 611 with stainless steel front. Used various allen keys but nothing is catching.

Unfortunatly there is no easy way to do this, but your on the right track. The handles are held in place by set screws, meaning there is not nut or bolt, the screw itself just pushes against the metal causing firmness. I found it easiest to get long allen head wrenches, lay on the floor with a flashlight, look up into the shaft and try to picture the position in you head and have at it. Persistance is the only way you'll win that battle.

GE GFSL6KEXLS Stainless Steel (2585 cu ft) Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator Problem: Freezer handle is all stainless steel is loose. How can I tighten it? I looks like I would have to go through...

look for a small hole on one side of the handle. There should be a set screw there you can tighten. (the handle attaches to a ball shaped peg under the handle, and does not attach from the inside of the door)

Loud noise during spin cycle even when I rotate manually - loose

ok, from the sound of things you're not going to like me any better when i get done than you did previously.. :)
if you can move the clothes tub/basket (stainless steel with lots of holes in it) not only around in a circle, but forward and backwards, and i assume diagonally kinda/sorta also within the constrains of the outer plastic tub/shell u gots big problems!!
within the plastic outer shell that keeps the water in containment, and houses/contains the bearing and seal assembly, would normally rotate a 3 armed spindle to which that stainless clothes basket is attached, those attachment points were prone to fail!!! especially if you live where you have acidic water which attacks the pot metal spindle assembly within 2 or 3 years, sometimes a little longer but usually just out of "warranty" unfortunately. now be warned or happy depending on how your warranty is worded that some of those "electrolux/frigidaire" manufactured kenmore appliances came with a 10 year "part" warranty on that same stainless steel clothes basket, and if that has defected and destroyed the bearings within that rear tub half then sears in their infinite wisdom should and will "when pressured" replace them both as one led to the destruction of the other. the labor to change them would fall on your shoulders and i'm not sure what they are charging for that level of repair now.
if u had to buy those parts you are talking about approximately $170 for the rear tub half w/bearing, and $200 for the inner stainles steel basket..
if you've never changed one of these before plan on around 5 hours, 2 bandaids, and lots of patience as the bolts that hold the tub together are only available from the front yet you'll be doing most of your wiggling from the rear.. save the foam blocks that the tub half come with for shims/spacers to hold the front tub half up with once u remove the shocks and springs ;)
have fun, and best of luck to ya..

The bulb on top of my Melitta Java perk Model #MEP-10 Percolator is broken and I would like to purchase another if I can.

Go to the hardware store and buy a porcelain or stainless steel cabinet knob that will fit over the hole in the percolator top. Discard the screw that comes with the knob and replace it with a shorter (maybe 3/8") stainless steel version (shorter because the top of the percolator is a lot thinner than a cabinet). Then, buy a couple of neoprene washers and a stainless steel fender washer. Prepare the percolator top by using a hammer and a small piece of wood or something to flatten out the metal around where the old percolator top used to fit. Now you can start putting things together--slip the fender washer over the screw, then one of the neoprene washers and put it through the hole in the percolator top from the inside. Then slip the other neoprene washer over the protruding screw and screw the cabinet knob down, sandwiching the whole assembly nice and tight. Finally, tape a dollar to the old plastic percolator top and throw it away so you can say you've thrown away something.

Replacing a baffle

this is a good one. easy too, once you see how its done, youll need to remove th top cover 3 screw across the top of unit, after removing the top look directly in the middle of the outer tub, youll see a black hose coming from the dispensor and entering diretcly into the top of tub. remove the hose from th tub( it will squeeze right out0. after that youll be able to see the stainless steel inner basket through the hole, youll have to spin the tub from the inside unitl the baffle is a t the top and oyu will see the screw hole will line right up,careful not to drop screw and remember to reinstall that hose or you get a flood
