Take the A\C adapter and plug it into the wall. Insert the rechargeable battery pack (if the unit is rechargeable then it would have came with a special battery pack, you cannot just put rechargeable batteries in the unit and charge them!) into the unit. Take the other end of the A/C adapter and plug it into the back of the unit (will probably have a label like D/C input or something), it will probably only fit in one spot. Did you not get a manual, if not try googleing it??
Hope this helps

Will not work even after charging

May need a bit more context and history, but, in general:
  • If it's got a removable battery, get a new battery and try.
  • if it's got a removable battery and you got a new battery on eBay that was an incredible deal and had a really high mAh rating, go get another battery from a brick and mortar store. Lots of those batteries are fakes, or recycled dead ones that won't hold a charge.
  • If you're fairly sure the battery may be ok, then look at how it charges - charging cradle, charging plug, or what have you. Somewhere in there are electrical contacts to allow a voltage to be put across the battery and pull charge into it. Blow the contacts on the base and the headphones off with some canned compressed air. Look with a flashlight and magnifying glass to see if anything might be bent or broken. Sometimes an item sits in a charger snugly, with the bent electrical contact not touching.
  • if the contacts are dull, corroded, or tarnished, clean them. You can either get a piece of really fine sandpaper or steel wool and gently buff the surfaces bright (blow them off afterward), or use electrical contact cleaner. I'm a fan of DeOxit - (see, for instance Amazon com deoxit ) for cleaning audio contacts, but lots of options at auto parts stores and computer shops.
  • if there's an on/off switch, and/or volume wheel, gently work those back and forth half a dozen times. make sure the sound isn't just muted or turned all the way down. Lord knows I've done that enough times :-b
  • also make sure the problem is with the headphones - plug another set into the plug and make sure that there's any sound coming out.

    Good Luck!

I bought a asus refurbished laptop, what should I do about charging a battery, charge it for eight hours without turning on the laptop??

A battery will charge as you use it . Go aheead and plug it in go about your laptop use as normal it does not need be off to charge the laptop any faster
Its using AC power to run and will still charge the battery
IF it does nto charge in a few hours it could be a weak battery
Try this first beofe you bring it to a service shop EBAY sells every type of battery ever made & Cheap too ! but check for warranty in EBAY bought battery look for return 100 percent guarantee on battery sales

Battery is dead, should it still power up if plugged in?

It will only power up after the battery has some charge in it.

If your battery is bad, it wont power on at all no matter how long you have it plugged in.

WHY WONT MY 7280 CHARGE OR TURN ON

The red light indicates its charging.  My guess is that the battery is dead and will nto hold a charge.  This is an older model phone and the lives on the batteries is 1-3 years at most.

Charge problems

its because of a faulty charger more than the battery but you could try changing the battery and charger both that should improve the results.

but the piece getting hot might be due to moisture in the piece thus a shorting of some sort, my advice switch to a different piece sell it off, as the v3 circuitry is too complicated for repairs.

Compaq Presario V2000 touchpad/battery charging problems

I noticed you were talking about over heating issues. Does the mouse issue happen when the computer is on for a period time?

I know with some laptops there is software for the "gadgets" on the mouse pad. If you have software related to it.. try reinstalling.

I am getting mixed thoughts of what you maybe talking about... please explain.
