It should have reconnected automatically, but in any case that it hasn't reconnected just restart your Barricade by pressing power button OFF then ON.

It should have a new IP address provided by your ISP.

Hope it helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

My router is DG834G v5 and it shows a red light for internet and does not connect ,there is no problem with my pone connection as the old modem is working fine, what do i do?

I understand that you are not able to connect to internet through DG834Gv5 as the internet light on the router is RED. I would suggest you to reset and reconfigure the router using the below steps:

RESET:

1. Press and hold the Wireless On/Off and WPS buttons simultaneously until the Power LED turns red (about 6 seconds).

2. Release the Wireless On/Off and WPS buttons. The LED blinks red three times and then turn green when the router has reset to the factory default state. Wait for the router to reboot.

CONFIGURATION:

1. Connect the cable/phone line coming from Internet Service Provider to the WAN port of the router (isolated port).

2. Connect the computer to the router using any one of the 4 available ports.

3. Open a web browser like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

4. Access the router's GUI by typing 'http://192.168.0.1' or 'http://www.routerlogin.com' in the address bar.

5. Login to the router (username = admin password = password unless you have changed it).

6. Click on 'Setup Wizard' at the top of list from the left menu.

7. Select Yes and click Next.

8. It should give you 'PPPoA Detected' and then click on next.

9. Enter the login and password of the ISP and then click on Apply.

10. Once the settings are updated click on 'Router Status' and click on 'Connection Status' button (at the bottom of the page).

11. Click on Connect button.

12. Connecting to server should show 'Connected'.

13. If you receive 'CHAP authentication failed', close the 'Connection status' window and click on 'Basic settings'. Verify the login and password for ISP and apply the setting again.

14. Open up another browser window and try to access internet.

Hi there, Don here. I have a Netgear DG834GT/GTB. For no apparent reason i am unable to connect wirelessly. Been working fine, but then just stopped! As you can tell im able to connect using the ethernet...

Hi Don
Is it just you or can nobody connect wirelessly?
Is the wireless light on on the front of the router?
Anyway. Open your web browser and type in this address 192.168.0.1
don't type anything else and then hit return.
In a moment you should get the gatekeeper popping up asking for the login and password. If they have not been changed they are admin and password.
navigate to the wireless page (I think it says WLAN) and check that it is all set up correctly (and that it is still turned on!)
If it is on, just disable the security (i.e. turn security off) and hit apply.
disconnect your ethernet cable and see if you can connect wirelessly now. If you can then the problem is with your security settings - if not - the the problem could be the wifi card in your computer.
That's about as far as I can help.

Myspace

To change your status
1. sign-in to myspace
(this will take you to your profile overview page)
2. click on Update at the top after or below your status
(this will display a field where you can edit your status)
3. edit your status
4. click on the Done button

If you meant change your status like you can in Messenger to say Offline when really you are online... then no you can't do that on myspace. You could block someone, then they can't see when you are logged in, but they also can't see your profile at all.
