Chapter15 The Init Button
The Init button is used for maintenance: Simultaneously press Init button and turn on (by plugging
in the power adaptor) the Server until USB1 LED indicator simultaneously blinks. After that, the
Server will do the following tasks:
A. Perform a Factory Default of the MFP server, which will restore most of the parameters and
settings to factory default values,
B. Perform a TFTP server. You can upgrade new firmware using any TFTP client tool.
Note: After performing the tasks mentioned above, you have to unplug the power adaptor and then
plug in the power adaptor to restart the Server.

I had the same problem with my LG bd670 blu ray. I fixed it. It was a failed firmware update. I went to the LG website and downloaded the update and copied it onto a flash drive. I unplugged my blu ray (hdmi cable too), put the flash drive into the usb port on front, and plugged in the power cord. It took a couple of minutes but it loaded the update from the flash drive and shut off. I plugged the in hdmi cable and turned on the blu ray and done. All was well in the world again. I hope this helps anyone with the "boot" error message on the LG bd670 blu ray player.

Change Jumper J1 to ON position & Restart Server

Connect the keyboard, mouse, monitor, network cable and power cord. press the power button on the front panel of the server. If the OS is installed the server will boot.

you need to interupt the boot process, by using a console cable and interupt boot. Then do a serial download of a new image.

make sure your using new cmos battery not yet been use and then set date in your bios and save it after finish.
still doesn't work?
try update your cmos that migth be the problem note! remember always take care of the risk on updating flashing cmos on power interuption never power off if still flashing. or if you update and flush it before it might be a bad flash of your cmos try bring it up to early state or restore your backup cmos firmware or download it to its main manufacture

What means "then os is not working"? Was the system rebooting all the time, blue screen, a service was unable to start ...? The CPU fan is turning? Disconned the power cord and press power on for few seconds. Try another bootable CD. Is it still the same boot the system from a (bootable) USB Flash Drive or USB CD/DVD drive. Is this working?

Here's what you can do:

1. Connect your PSP to your PC.
2. Check if the proper folders are on it's Memory Stick. There is
a folder called PSP which had the following folders
underneath.


GAME
PICTURE
VIDEO
SYSTEM

3. The folder you need is GAME. Go in there and create a subfolder called UPDATE.

4. Go to www.playstation.com

5. Look for your local site.

6. Look in the PSP section for firmware updates. Here's the link for the most recent firmware update for the USA.

* If you need other regional firmware you'll need to look for it yourself or tell me where you from.

7. Download the file in the above link to a convenient place such as your desktop. Then copy it to the recently created UPDATE folder.

8. Safely disconnect your PSP.

9. Start up your PSP and go to the Game section of it, select Memory Stick. You should now see the file.

10. Open the file by pressing X. The update procedure starts. Be sure to follow the on screen instructions.

Warning: do not use firmware other then placed on Sony PlayStation's official site. For it might damage your system and it will never boot again. Also make sure the battery is fully charged (a charge of 50% will not do, the update utilty won't allow the update). Since it can take an few minutes you best connect it to it's power supply.

NEVER interupt an update by shutting your unit down, removing battery, removing stick, removing power. The damage done is not covered by Sony's warranty.

About the issue for the connection with your PS3 unit. It's true, you need one of the most recent firmwares.
