THE protective cover is the FRONT of the telescope!!!

The focuser is on the front like the picture above. TURN the scope around -- you have it pointing at the ground right now!

Read my TIPS on my profile page. And read this and look at the pictures:

Testimonial: "thank you very much.just turned it around and it is perfect. once again thanks a million"

I have a Tasco Luminova 40-114675 and i cant figure it out. I bought it at a garage sale and it didnt come with a manual and i dont know how to use it. i cant see anything out of it

You can get a manual on this web site:
http://www.tasco.com/pages/instruction-manuals/

This is a reflector style telescope. with mirrors-- probably on an equatorial mount which needs to be polar aligned in order to be used. Read this:

I bought aTasco Space Staion telescope (Model 49114500(Reflector) second hand, came with 4 different len's, but still can not see ANYTHING! There's a bright full moon out, but can not see anything. No light...

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one. Go outside and try again.. The end with the focuser is the UP end of the tube. The mirror inside is the BOTTOM of the tube nearest the ground.

Just bought, used, set up but cant see anything through any of the lenses

I answered your question in your other posting.

SEE this and look at the picture of the Dobsonian reflector. Notice the eyepiece and focuser is on the FRONT of the telescope. The mirror is the BOTTOM of the telescope.

When i bought my tasco 46-114500 i did not receive my 250x lens can you help me dennis at 419-349-1983

You mean your 2x or 3x barlow. These can be purchased from many on-line retailers:

Here are two:

Tasco telescope

Look through the tube with the eyepiece out, and lens cap off. You should see light coming in. Then use the lowest power eyepiece to start. You can use it on ground objects initially until you get a hand on it. Many make the mistake of going directly to the highest power, and get off the track as the field of view is tiny, and objects are dim.
