It is best to let it charge at least over night, longer if it hasn't been used for a while. It is also good to give them a long workout (Don't completely flatten them though) at least occaisionally. If they get regular and thorough use they will last longer, but extra weight like shopping, or lots of steepish paths will flatten them a lot faster. They are only supposed to last a couple of years, but will go longer if you look after them.

One of the most important things is to find a supplier/repairman you can trust. These are, after all your legs or mode of transport you are talking about.

Hi,

The minimum I would say, is about 8 hours, best to leave them on charge all night so they are fresh and will give max power in the morning, keeping them charged on a regular basis will help prolong the battery life, I had batteries last me two years used every day, I believe you get what you pay for in batteries for example MK are very good but can be pricey.

GeWiz.

I have a victory pride mobility scooter the battery is fully charged and it won't run I tried to reset but nothing worked

Have the controller module checked. You can also download the service manual from Pride's website. It has a lot of information in it as well as a complete wiring diagram.

My pride mobility victory scooter will not charge

You must charge each battery individually with an automotive NON automatic style battery charger until each battery has at least 10 bolts each. The scooter charger cannot pull up a battery with less than 10 volts.

Scooter only moves a short distance, then stops?

If the scooter in question is a Pride Victory with on board charger ? ( you plug a mains lead into it ?) now what happens with this particular scooter as the charger starts to fail, it's not charging the battery correctly, if you have access to a multimeter DC setting , check the voltage from one of terminal of the battery to the other terminal of the opposite battery, now it should read at least 18 volts , 0 volts then you need to change from one terminal to the other and same for the other battery ,, now if it below 24v that's the problem because as soon as you put it under load the voltage drops to under the minimum working voltage for the controller , hope that makes sense so other-words you need to replace the on board charger , contact me and I show you a way to do this cheaply...

My victory 4 mobilty wont charge the green light is very faint/the charger was tested working.so why wont my scooter charge

make sure battery cables are secure at battery terminals and clean.how old are the batteries. If the batteries run down fast they are no good.a good way to test them is put scooter against some thing solid and go forward. If the battery indicator drops to o the batteries are no good.It takes about 10 hours to charge the batteries

My scooter says its fully chrged but its not. this happens once in awhile, any suggestions?

your batters have lost their charge at some point in time. These gel batteries, if they ever set for a long time with out recharging, or arn't recharged daily with daily use, will seem to be charged. but arn't. their expensive but I've seen batteries last over 5 yrs when taken care of properly.
