I get the following error message "printer error code 6202" when I start my printer. None of the buttons on the control panel function.
I unplugged the power supply several times. So far it seems to be working.
The common fix for this is to switch the printer off and disconect the power wait 1 minute and restore power. This does not work. The problem is caused by the scanner arm not returning to its "Home" position at the righthand side of the scanner glass.
What you need to do is this:
Switch off the printer
Turn it on again while watching the Scanner arm
When the scanner arm reaches the "Home" point the light will go out.
Cut the power(pull the plug) at this point.
Disconet the power source and let the printer reset (1 Minute)
Reconect the power and turn the printer on as normal.
This should result in a normal test run for the scanner arm and it will return normally to the "Home" point. If the problem re occours try it again. Mine took 4 attempts but is now happly working again dispite Kodak saying it could not be repaired and I should buy a new printer.
