Exposure compensation should be at "0" and ISO should be on "auto ISO".

What setting is best for taking pictures at night(?)

IR/ night vision, Black and white also seem to work good most of the time too. Just keep playing around until you find one that suites your needs. Happy refraction !!!!.

Vivitar series1 Pro-648-CAN. The camera and flash attached were dropped. The flash seperated from the camera. Nothing visually broken or damaged. Reattached the flash and the pictures are VERY over...

You have to check if the camera is broken or the flash.
To check the camera, remove the flash and take pictures in normal daylight environment. If the pictures are normal, by that I mean focus and exposure, then the problem is your flash not in sync with the camera.

Not knowing what type of flash you have whether it is infrared or manual will tell if there is a sync problem. It is easier to replace a flash then a camera. Good Luck

Vivitar vivicam 7388s lens won't go back into

Hi Dear,

This issue is not with the battery. This is due to the misalignment of the camera lens. This is a delicate hardware problem. Hence,i would suggest you to take it to some professional or your authorized service center and get it repaired there only. Trying to repair it on your own might make the situation worse and would cost a lot money.

If you need more information on this. Please do write to use.

Have a nice day.

Driver missing for ViviCam 7388s

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Forget how to take double pictures.

Hey xplaur,
To take a multiexposure photograph you should first expose the film, and then push the multiexposure button which is on the front of the camera on the top left when you are looking at the front of the camera. After you press this button advance the winding lever to set the shutter, and since the multiexposure button was pressed this shouldn't wind the film to the next frame. Now take your second exposure, and if you want to make another exposure on the same frame repeat the process. Keep in mind that every time you expose a single frame after the initial exposure you will be doubling the exposure on the frame. I usually under expose each exposure by one third on a double exposed frame. If you do more than two exposures I would underexpose each exposure by even more. Multi exposures are fun but tricky, and I would suggest you experiment and have fun with it. I will also say that black and white film is much more controllable and forgiving when it comes to this than color film. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
