I installed the IPOD unit on my MP232 yesterday. The manual says to be careful not to place the IPOD Control Unit too closely to the actual stereo or it can cause bleed over. If you know where that unit is, you may want to move it farther away from the antenna/stereo.

I dont understand how to play mp3 player on my kenwood cd player.I have the cord to hook it up to my kenwood radio but i dont know how to get the mp3 to play.

Just plug the cord into the front of the cd player where it says "AUX" and then plug the other end of the cord into the headphone / line out jack on any ipod or mp3 player then select "AUX" instead of CD and the sound will come through the system

Kenwood Kdc-mp425 will not switch to Aux. Aux cable is connected to the back of the headunit, but no aux option is available on menu for either my ipod touch or my sirius unit. I've accessed the menu from...

Apparently, this auxiliary input only works for a Kenwood CD changer or a sirius radio connection. At least that is my conclusion after finding the same problem. Let me know if you figured anything out on this.

Idont know how to get my aux. to work on my car cd player

You have to have the Auxillary cable plugged into the radio, and have it plugged into your device (ipod, phone, mp3 player) then hit the source button until you see Aux, then you have to start the music on your ipod or whatever your using and it will play through the car speakers

Ipod

On the Kenwood models that are within about 6 or 7 years old or newer, there is an iPod adapter for the head units that plugs into the CD Changer port on the back of the radio. Kenwood makes an adapter (KCA-IP500) that gives direct control and charging through the radio and several companies make aux input adapters for Kenwood radios that will connect to the iPod's headphone jack.

Aux location

There is a RCA cable that comes off the back of the radio and also another cable for 3.5mm (mini-stereo jack) that also comes off the back of the radio. The RCA jacks can be used for "AUX" or "Sub-woofer" and the 3.5mm jack is just for "AUX". Your ipod can use the audio output jack or the headphone jack and plug that into the 3.5 mm jack on the back of the radio. You will need a "3.5mm male" to "3.5mm male" stereo cord that can be purchased at Radio Shack or Best Buy. Then you select "AUX" on the display with the source button to listen to it. You may need to go into the menu and activate the "AUX" input. Check your owners manual for details.

KENWOOD KDC-MP335

Yes, you can. It took me almost a month and about 70 dollars wasted to lfigure it out though. All you need is the the audio jack. Its a simple chord that runs to your aux jack in the back of your head unit. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE AUXILLARY CONTROLS ON THE CD PLAYER. YOU DO THIS FROM THE MENU SCREEN. The chord cost like five dollars at wal-mart.
