Touch pad isn't working anymore.

I would like to know why my touch pad is not working anymore. I would also like to know why I don't see that little blue thing in the middle of my screen when I use the function keys anymore.

Touch pad not working

Hello,
It's a driver related issue or the touchpad is locked. Unlock it.
Each computer has it's own way on how to unlock the touchpad. Please provide me with the model of your computer so that I can provide you with the correct steps.
You can also scan your computer with RadarSync so that you will know if the drivers are out-of-date especially the touchpad driver. Your touchpad stops working if the driver is out-of-date so you might want to check RadarSync.

My touchpad buttons don't work IBM T42 laptop

In this case you probably disabled it by mistake ..and you need to enable it again ..Go to control panel ..and locate the touch pad..and see if it needs enabling . If this will not work ..you have to download the driver for the touch pad..and reinstall it ..or ..if the driver is still in the system it is enough to get to control panel ..add hardware ..and run the add new hardware wizard..This will search for hardware and show the ones which are not installed or ..if no one is present ..select already added and look for the pad..
Or ..I would option for getting into device manager..(right click on computer ..select properties../hardware /device manager..or direct device manager for win7 ..)
in the device manager select the touch pad..and click right on it ..and select update driver..This will start the wizard and install the missing driver if it is still in the system ..If it isn't you will have to install it manually after you download it from the support site ..or from the disk .

Kitchenaid superba kgsc308lssc keypad not working

Hello Ron,
On that touch pad not working do any button at all work?? its not a uncommon thing for the touch pad to quit working,in some case its just a matter of making sure the plug on it has a good connection where it plugs into the control board. If certain button work while others don't its a sign that the control board itself is good and the problem lies within the touch pad and it would need to be replaced. It may possible as to clean the connection of the ribbon cable on the touch pad by using a pencil eraser and try cleaning the ends of the ribbon cable, again if that doesn't work the touch pad would need need to be replaced . On that model the touch pad is integrated onto the control console and the part number for it is 9782418CB just so ya know its pricey (over $200 )
Good luck,GENE

My left click and tapping on lenovo touch pad is not working?

The touchpad has failed on you. This is uncommon but it happens. If it were just the touch pad sometime you can just clean them and they work. With a button not working then it is more serious. A new touch pad assembly is worth about $35 for most laptops. The problem is the case needs to be split to replace it. This isn't a big job for a experienced tech. Should be no more than a half hour charge. If you are comfortable with doing things this is something you can do. If you search for laptop repair parts for parts web store you can usually find pictorial or even video howto's on replacing this. Most laptops come apart the same so don;t worry if you can't find your laptop model right away. Just look to see if you think you can do this. Then you can decide if you want to do it or get a tech to.

The left key on my dell touchpad is not working

Hello,

that part of the touch pad is not working anymore, its faulty and you need to replace the whole touch pad.

I don't know why this is mostly common with Dell. My friend has a Dell inspirion 1501 and the touch pad has exactly the same problem as yours.

I would advice you get a USB mouse to keep you going pending the time you get the touch pad fixed.

I wish you the best of luck.

Kitchenaid Superba Gas Oven Touch Pad not working

We have a gas kitchenaid KGST307HBL9 and the touch pad is blank, but we discovered that you can still touch the buttons and it will work. (example touch bake; temperature; start). It will beep when the target temperature is reached.

Just so we don't forget and leave the oven on, we turn the oven light on as our signal. A little work, but not wanting to "fork" out the money at this time to repair.

Also, if you are handy RepairClinic.com has many items and can also answer question. We've used them for several of our appliance repairs.
