I have a Sony KP-53VP0 Rear Projection TV Kinda Cloudy Picture.

Hi,
If tv picture was fine before moved then check dry/ cold solder joints/ connections on convergence output ICs and nearby circuit area.
Local tv repairman will resolder loose/ dry solder connections to solve double vision picture problem.
TV worth fixing if picture is good.

sony rear projection KP series are know for having bad utbes after while..ihad seen the blue tube goes on most.

Replace Both of your STK ICS they will have Part number on them example STK392-110 if 110s use 150s Call Mats 1-800-628-1118

It is not unusual for the CRTs to cause this problem. In this case the Blue CRT. The problem is that you cannot get them anymore. You must send the CRT assembly to Sony for them to rebuild it. Due to the age of the set and the cost of this process, I do not recommend repairing if it is the Blue CRT causing the problem. The only way to be sure is to have a professional check it out.

I think its time for sony to face a claas action, they do not supply parts in less than 7 years, and the unit should not have been sold so $high, they should buy them back, that is the best solution

ur tv is on test mode try to desactivate it its easy look through the menu if u not see it there try to find some kinda button in the back of it

When a Sony TV flashes five times, that means that there is an AKB circuit fault.
This means that there is something wrong with the video.
When you get this error, several IC and components concerning the video signal must be tested and eventually replaced.

Convergenc IC proble look for and replace all Stk392-XXX
