LCD
iN LCD'S YOU HAVE A backlight When they flicker that means its time for a change, I would highly recommend you have the inverter and back light checked. $45 bucks for your examination and $125 for the backlight, $150 in all and its a working TV again.
If you do this yourself let me caution you if your not a expert I would keep my hands our of the cabinet and take it in and pay the piper as if you put your hands on the wrong thing you will be giving yourself a nice jult.
Thanks and please do press the accept button for my efforts.

Hello,
The flickering is caused by a power supply about to died and now with the picture blank that shows it has a total failure. The most common problem with monitor power supplies are parts called capacitors, they overheat in the case and short out. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. We have pictures posted on our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm that will give you an idea of what to look for and what you will need to replace. We do many repairs on LCD computer monitors and yous unit is basically just a big monitor with a tuner attached. If you have additional questions you can contact us at: [email protected] If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for your unit for $45 plus return shipping.
I hope this helps you.
