I have a Philips 32'' LCD, when I hook a DVD it plays in black and white. It will play in color in side connecter only. Please help

The side connectors are usually composite connectors meaning the have a Yellow-video Red-right audio and White-left audio connectors. Now when you are connecting them to the back and you connect the Yellow wire from the DVD player to a component input which have Green,Blue and Red connectors to the green connector, you will get a picture, but it will be in black and white. Please take moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

HDTV LCD 32 inch is all green. Good definition but all green. Have tried all color adjustments but even turning down the green all the way still leaves a green screen with some red and blue colors in the...

THe most likely cause for this problem is bad connection of the cable connecting the main TV board with the LCD controller. It's called LVDS cable and is hard to miss, usually fat round and black, connecting a board from the chasis with a little board in the top center of the LCD assembly.

I'd open the TV and gently try and reattach the cable to see if that yields any results. You can try it a few times, in fact I'd do it while the TV is open and working so I can better see if adjusting it makes a difference.

There's also a chance that the LCD logic itself got burned and misses on one of the colors. But I don't remember ever seeing that.

Black and white grainy output to new samsung lcd

Your DVD player is using a PAL or NTSC variant which is not supported by your display. Somewhere hidden in the depths of the options in the DVD player should be an option to change the composite output type.

Yellow line on left side of screen-

If this is only happening on one input like your cable input and the dvd player is working great on a different input, then the issue can possibly be signal related and not a problem with the tv, if this haapens on any input you are watching, check to see if it affects the menu if it does then your looking at a Logic board issue, if it doesn't affect the menu but happens on multiple inputs then you have to replace the signal board
