Can't call out or transfer to phone, but can answer incoming calls. DSS button on programmed phones is blinking as if station has incoming call.

  • Anonymous Jan 13, 2010

Already did. Did not work. It is like the phone has an incoming call, but you can still answer from that station.

Hi,
Try resetting the phone to factory default.

    Hi,
Each station has a ringer volume control. Adjust the ringer volume of each station to suit your needs.

If music is to be part of the system, connect a customer-provided music source to the common equipment music interface jack (phono jack) provided for this purpose. The impedance of this
input is approximately 500W. Use the volume control on the music source to adjust the audio level of the music as required.

With the operating system parameters set to default, the rocker switch volume control on
DigiTech and Impact multiline telephones sets the ringer volume level between off and a
maximum level. You can disable the allow ringer off on a system-wide basis. When you
do this, users can set the ringer volume of their telephones between a minimum and a
maximum level, but can not completely silence it.
To Program: 1. Dial 17. “SYSTEM FEATURES ”
    2. Dial 04. “RING OFF XXXXXX”
    3. Press A1 to toggle between ringer off allow and not allow.
(LED On = Ringer Off allowed)
    —OR—
Dial 1 to allow ringer off. “RING OFF ENABLE”
Dial 2 to not allow ringer off. “RING OFF DISABLE”
    4. Dial SS for configuration mode.
    5. Press SPEAKER to end.

number of volume settings to 13 on an individual station basis.
To Program: 1. Dial 53. “STATION FEATURES”
    2. Dial 38. “HANDSET VOLUME”
    3. Select station ports (LED on = Feature Assigned):
    —Station 10–57: Dial 10–57 or press C10–C57.
    4. Dial S for next station feature
    —OR—
    dialS Sfor configuration mode.
To change setting, repeat procedure and make different selection.

Cant transfer calls using dss panasonic kx7640 model

What happens when you put the phone in PROGRAM and press one of the DSS buttons? Did you pair the console to the phone? My DSS console works just fine, so yours is either miswired, or broken.

We have a KX-TD816 system and I have a KX-T7431 phone. We have no operator so whoever picks up transfers. No one can transfer to me anymore. One other thing all the phones the FWD/DND button blink slowly....

So what happens when they press TRANSFER and dial your extension? What happens when you call someone with a display phone and your extension comes up on the display?

The FWD/DND button shows that you have a FWD or DND condition set on your phone. Try pressing it one or 2 times and see if the display says FWD to xxxx. Now, if it is cleared, from the intercom dial 7104 (busy) or 7105 (no answer) 165 # That sets the CF on your phone.

If the others have lost your DSS button on their busy lamp fields, and truly nobody can "transfer" calls to you, you can reprogram those with PROGRAM 99 (don't pick up the handset) press the button assigned to your extension and dialing 1 + your extension and STORE.

We have a Panasonic KX-T7730 in our office but it cannot transfer a call to a designated location.

If you are using a DSS button(direct station select button) to do the transfer ,verify that the button is programmed for the correct station by pressing the button when you are not trying to do a transfer, if the button does not ring the desired station you can do the transfer manually by pressing transfer button while on the call followed by the station number dialed using the dial pad. If the DSS button is correct, then try making the transfer while on a call by pressing the DSS button then hanging up(in this method do not use transfer button)

Can't find code to add transfer to soft keys on prostar 816

Transfering on a Prostar 816 is done by using the DSS buttons on the right hand side of the phone. This is accomplished by having your outside call in progress and pressing the DSS button of the persons extension you wish to transfer it to. If you want to screen the call wait for the extension to answer otherwise hang up and the call will be transfered. Transfer keys were only placed on the 800 series sets and was a non movible button.
hope that helps

Incoming call indicator light

Yes!

The easiest way is to assign a DSS button for each person. When their phone is ringing, the DSS button will flash (on most systems - older systems don't do it and newer systems can be programmed not to).

We have a support package that allows us to make all the changes you need over the Internet for a flat annual fee. If you want your whole system to work properly and all changes to be made for you at a flat budget, call us at 877-236-8376.

Adding an extension

If you program that button to ba a DSS button for that station (41) it will intercom that station, can be used to transfer calls to that station, and will light up when it's busy. It could be called something else in programming like Station Intercom Button, Quick Transfer Key, etc..

Problem is, your phone can be used on many different Avaya phone systems that all program differently.

The manuals for the phones and systems are all available free at www.avaya.com but you need to know which system you have before looking for the manual.
