Printer will not print and sometimes reboots PC.

Printer will not print and sometimes reboots PC while attempting to print.

Can get to print by clicking "retry" after "error communicating with printer" when prompted and then "cancel" the next time. Turn power off to printer (by unplugging) and then plugging back in.

Obviously something is wrong.

Lexmark X4550 Scanner not working

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/lY7NTO. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. After the install process, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Unable print 32

Unplug the Printer. Delete the printer and all other printers not in use from the Printers list and then reboot the computer. Once rebooted, plug the printer in and allow the computer to discover the device. Attempt to print.

My printer is giving me this error message "Batch

That's a batch error, more than likely due to a communication issue between the pc and the printer. If you reboot the printer, THEN reboot the pc you should clear that error.
This error sometimes occurs when the printer has been shut down whil logged into your software, which disables communications between pc and printer. The error indicates that the printer didn't receive enough data to properly print the batch of labels/tags.

Cant print from procom screen..print job is sent to the printer (icon in tool bar )..but the printer does not print

This can be a number of reasons, but first check to see if you printer is online. Attempt to print a test page. Instead of PrtScreen, highlight everything on the screen, right click, print and in the printer options print "selection". Try to reboot you computer, if everything in cue starts to print, it's operating system based, if it doesn't it's your printer perhaps. Too many variables to diagnose on a comment board. Please remember to rate me!

HP Laserjet CP2025 stopped printing.

First thing to do is to turn off the HP. Clear out any print jobs that are sitting on your computer print que waiting to be printed. Turn the printer back on, wait about 1 minute then try printing again. If this does not work then clear the print job again and reboot your PC. Try printing again. If still you can not print then reply here with how the printer is connected to your PC. By USB cable? Ethernet? etc.
Thanks

I attempted to print a 25 page document, with reverse pages. Only 9 pages printed. I cannot print anything now. and the message on the printer reads, DATA REMAINING. I have pushed every button...

It seems the printer buffer memory has overflowed. Cancel the print from the print Que and switch off the printer. Give your PC a reboot too. Now switch on the printer and make sure that there is no document in the print Que. If its still there, disconnect the printer and delete the pending job, i.e. print Que. After the printer shows it ready for printing do not release the entire document for printing at one go. Breakup the print job in 3 parts and for each part manually enter the page numbers and then give the print command. Repeat this till the entire lot is over..........................sodeep

I want to print out an e-mail but when I do it comes up with printing failed when starting documents. Any solution?

The problem is you may have attempted to print too many times and it has confused the computer. Go to start / printers and right click on the printer that is set up and clear the number of print jobs listed in the spooler. there is a tab to clear all. Then shut off your printer and reboot the computer. Try again. Good luck

Not Printing

The copy function works fine because the printer alone is handling the copy. When you print, you need two machines to get their stories straight. Is your printer turned on before the machine boots up? or is the printer turned on after the machine has booted? Sometimes Windows won't load all the drivers needed if it doesn't detect a device during bootup. You may want to download the latest and greatest drivers from the HP site, uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
